The incumbent will have the flexibility to work in the office or a hybrid of in office and teleworking. If working a hybrid schedule, the incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor.**Minimum Qualifications**+ Three years of professional supervisory experience (supervising professional employees) in communications, public affairs, and/or media relations OR four years of professional experience in communications, public affairs, and/or media relations.+ Experience creating and executing strategic communication plans and/or public relations plans.+ Experience utilizing a range of communication channels such as written communication, websites, social media, multimedia, outreach, and/or in-person events.**Preferred Qualifications**+ Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, journalism, or another related field.+ Experience with work planning and budgeting sufficient to effectively manage the unit’s work.+ Experience with communications in a government setting.**Additional Requirements**It is our policy that the successful candidate pass a background check prior to employment.
