Roehrborn, Can J Urol 2017**Position Summary**The Director, Downstream Marketing is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities related to conceptualizing, implementing, and executing market strategy and promotional initiatives and achieving commercial targets. The position will develop and execute strategic vision for how the Company shows and describes the value of the Interventional Urology product portfolio (Urolift, Barrigel, Solesta, and Deflux) and drive the execution of that vision. The position will lead a downstream marketing team in developing compelling messaging, stories, case studies, videos, and presentations, and use them effectively across all direct and digital communication.**Principal Responsibilities**• Establish and direct the development and implementation of the brand’s marketing and annual operating plans to achieve the category’s volume, revenue, and spending objectives• Develop brand plans to ensure that top-line sales goals are met by overseeing the execution of brand strategies through various functional departments and external vendors• Manage, coach, and develop direct reports to execute brand plans and strategies• Responsible for the training and development planning of the downstream marketing team.• Determine appropriate resource allocations across the brands to optimize overall brand performance• Lead the development of annual strategic planning for the brand, involving key stakeholders across the organization• Create product positioning, value proposition, and messaging platforms that resonate with customers and key stakeholders.• Partner cross-functionally to conduct market research efforts to develop a deep understanding of the buying audience by gathering insights into the market, competitors, industry trends, target personas, buyer needs, and the purchasing decision process. Utilizes this information to establish best practices around who to target and which deliverables and strategies will ensure successful campaigns for future releases.• Partner with global marketing product managers to ensure regional alignment with Global strategy• Lead comprehensive go-to-market strategy and drive product adoption in the market (via sales activation, marketing campaigns, press releases, social media, scaled education, etc.)• Manage the presence of the Teleflex IUBU product portfolio at OUS and US industry meetings.• Collaborate with Clinical Team to drive KOL strategy.• Lead competitive strategy for the IUBU product portfolio utilizing multi-channel approaches. Monitor the competition and develop action plans and strategies to address competitive threats.• Partner with Upstream marketing to lead new product development and manage all key commercial deliverables for launch, including early market acceptance testing, claims, packaging design, P&L, distribution, and launch plans.• In partnership with CMA, designs physician training pathways, funnel, Learning Management System, and content.• Manage and organize the workflow of creative assignments from initiation of the project plan through development, the med-legal review process, and delivery of finished creative materials**Education / Experience Requirements**• BA/BS degree or equivalent• Minimum 6+ years experience in a life sciences (medical device) product management or product marketing role• 5+ years of team management experienceThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between (180,000-190,000 ) however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered.
