And it’s why our business strategy centers on making journalism so good that it’s worth paying for.****Job Description**T Magazine, the New York Times Style Magazine, seeks an experienced and energetic fashion assistant to join our women’s fashion editorial team. T is the premier luxury magazine covering fashion, art, culture, travel, food and design. This role will report to the Women’s Style Director and will play a key role in the daily operations of an extremely busy department.This is a hybrid position based in New York City and includes regular attendance in the office each week per your departmental guidance.**Responsibilities:**+ Request and secure runway looks and coordinate logistics (shipping, returns, etc.) for all feature well fashion and cover photo shoots. Research additional market as needed by stylists, including requesting, coordinating and tracking samples.+ Collect, write and organize all credits for editorial shoots and maintain all critical information after each issue is published.+ Build and maintain strong professional relationships with PR contacts across markets and remain up to date on latest collections and upcoming designers.+ Contribute to trend reports and assist in preparing seasonal presentations for editor in chief and creative teams.+ Contribute to The T List newsletter with newsworthy lifestyle pieces and market roundups.+ Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence (ytco.com/company/mission-and-values/) and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world**Additional responsibilities, as needed:**+ Attend NYFW shows as requested by senior management and contribute supplemental information to coverage that appears on T Magazine’s social media as needed.+ Take part in press appointments ( product launches, collection previews) as requested by senior management.**Basic Qualifications:**+ Minimum 3 years of experience+ Experience in women's luxury fashion with fashion press teams+ Extensive knowledge of current fashion trends and upcoming talent+ Must be willing to work occasional nights and weekends for events and shootsThis position is represented by the NewsGuild of NY.The annual base pay salary for this role is between $66,300.00 and $67,000.00.**The New York Times is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce, one that reflects the varied global community we serve.
