*100% Remote, EST Hours*Description:Event Planner – Contract (remote)How will you make an impact:The Pharma Services Group Event Planner will develop, lead planning, and implement multiple types of events, ensuring optimum delivery on strategic goals and targets across regions. They will utilize best practices, tools and resources to collaborate effectively across the company, with corporate resources and diverse solution providers to ensure successful execution of assigned events.What will you do:• Act as primary liaison with conference organizers for all aspects of event planning for assigned events.• Leads, manages and implements key industry and proprietary events – live and digital – inclusive of logistics, budgeting, contact capture, reporting, workback calendars, and core team project management.• Act as project lead for site event planning – managing all aspects of planning and communication with internal colleagues.• Research venues and make recommendations to market development and other colleagues for live events and lead planning and communication for successful execution.• Develops and implements effective communication plans across diverse stakeholders to support assigned events.• Assesses event sponsorship and co-marketing opportunities for potential value in support of business goals and make recommendations to Sr. Manager, Events.• Manage relationships with third party event organizers, stand builders and other event suppliers to secure optimum value for the business under the guidance of Sr. Manager, Events.• Communicates results and key performance indicators to leadership.• Ensures assigned projects are delivered on time and on budget.• Builds effective relationships with event team members and key internal partners/stakeholders.• Supports other event initiatives and event team colleagues as needed.Education• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Management or related field required.• Events & Meeting Management certificate (CMP, CMM or CTSM) preferred.Experience• 5+ years of work experience in trade show/conference event management and marketing required.• Management of variety of events including conferences/tradeshows, live and site and multi-million-dollar budgets across regions, especially outside of North AmericaKnowledge, Skills, Abilities• Pharma/Life Sciences industry knowledge required.• Conference/Tradeshow, Live and Site event experience required.• Ability to lead cross-functional and cross-division planning teams effectively in a large, complex, global, matrix business environment.• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to work across functions and groups on multiple projects at the same time.• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, meeting management and interpersonal skills• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, electronic lead capture systems, digital event platforms and a quick learner with new tools and technology; exposure to PowerBI and Salesforce is preferred.• Strong attention to detail including excellent budgeting and expense management skills.• Self-starter with the ability to take projects from concept through execution with high attention to detail and proficiency in managing complexity.• Comfort level with engaging effectively and efficiently with leadership and executive teams.Skills:Events, Digital Marketing, Salesforce.com, PowerBI, tradeshow, Pharma, Life Sciences, Project ManagementAbout TEKsystems:We're partners in transformation.
