DescriptionPrime Video Ads - Data, Measurement and Insights(“PVA-DMI”) team is a central data and analytics team within the PV-Ads org that plays a pivotal role in fueling the worldwide growth of Amazon’s video advertising business. We own data platform, reporting, dashboards, measurement, and analytical solutions for PV Ads.We are looking for a very highly experienced and technically accomplished BIE. In this role, the candidate will partner closely with product managers, business stakeholders, data engineers and software engineers to build reporting data models, business KPIs to support high judgment decisions.You will go beyond report generation and invest in automation to scale the analytics needs for all business and technical stakeholders. You will be exposed to a wide range of technologies, systems, and business challenges.In addition to leading the design, development, and management of our analytical tools and reporting, we will also look to this person to provide thought leadership and business analysis support as needed.Key job responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our analytical and business needs- Use analytical and statistical rigor to solve complex problems and drive business decisions.- Write high quality SQL code to retrieve and analyze data from database tables (ex. Redshift, MySQL, Oracle), and learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use.- Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting.Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modelingPreferred Qualifications- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasetsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
