Position SummaryMarketing Operations Specialist (AA/S, EIII)(Classified as: Administrative Analyst/Specialist, Exempt III)

Full-time position available on or after September 9, 2024 for Continuing and Professional Education.

Under general direction, the Marketing Operations Specialist serves as the key technical advisor to the Sr. Executive Director of Business Operations, overseeing the tracking and analysis of student enrollments and marketing responses while managing and maintaining the Salesforce ecosystem. The role involves strategic decision-making, project management, and leading business process improvements to support enrollment management and marketing operations across the unit and campus partners.Job DutiesDuties include but are not limited to:

Analyze, design, implement, and evaluate various administrative systems to support organizational unit operations.Advise management on policies and procedures related to finance, budgets, personnel, and related operational functions to meet programmatic goals.Act as an internal and external resource on policy and procedural matters.Lead or coordinate projects involving the management of external parties.Coordinate financial analysis, planning, and fund management.Budget analysis.Accounting and administration.Engage in proactive systems planning, development, and administration.Coordinate office automation planning and coordination, market planning, analysis, and administration.Oversee contract administration.Conduct program and policy research, analysis, development, reporting, and evaluation.Determine methods, policies, and procedures to achieve programmatic goals.Lead related committees.Ensure compliance with applicable regulations or requirements governing the program.Serve as a liaison to outside agencies or entities related to the program.Other duties as assigned.

Minimum QualificationsEducation:

A bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

Experience:

Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in business operations, data analysis, or a related field.Experience in a higher education environment or with student enrollment systems is highly desirable.Extensive experience with Salesforce CRM, including Salesforce Account Engagement and Salesforce Experience Cloud.Extensive experience with project management software such as Asana, Wrike.Proficient in business communication tools such as Slack.Working knowledge of Drupal CMS, PeopleSoft SIS, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Incumbents at this level often may have certification in a specialty area.Substantial and broad knowledge of public and private entities including their organizational and operating structures, internal systems, and functional areas, as well as the impact of critical external entities on an organization. Ability to integrate and apply this knowledge to anticipate problems and assess the impact of proposed solutions on various organizational areas.Extensive and in-depth knowledge in project management including research and analytical methodologies.Ability to interpret and integrate complex data and information to formulate appropriate courses of action which have broad and far-reaching impact.Ability to understand and analyze complex problems from a future-oriented and broad interactive perspective and readily develop proactive solutions that integrate strategic goals into tactical operations.Ability to effectively use applicable information systems and applications in analysis, research, and reporting activities and projects.Ability to effectively communicate with and influence high-level and diverse contacts inside and outside of the CSU system.Ability to effectively use all communication methods and formats and to use expertise, as well as persuasion and negotiation skills, to build consensus to achieve short- and long-term goals and objectives.

Salary will depend on the qualifications of the successful finalist. (Full Administrative Analyst/Specialist, Exempt III range: $6,638 - $12,899 per month)Compensation & BenefitsCommensurate with qualifications and experience.
