Crimson Design Group is THE leading interior design firm based in Columbus, Ohio. CDG specializes in creating unique and innovative design solutions for residential, commercial, multi-family and senior living spaces. CDG collaborates with clients to create beautiful and bold interiors.

As the Director of Design, you will be responsible for leading our design and procurement team in delivering exceptional interior design projects from concept to completion. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the creative direction of the firm and ensure that every project delivers the "Crimson Experience." In short, the Director of Design is a creative leader who bridges the gap between design and business.

Leadership and Team Management:

Provide visionary leadership to the design team, inspiring creativity and fostering a collaborative work environment.Lead and develop high performing teams and individuals.Reputation for developing long-term strategies that meet stakeholder objectives and ensure optimal productivity, performance, and profit.This position will own the successful profitability of all projects.Develop design strategies that enhance the client experienceMentor and guide designers, offering support and feedback to help them grow and elevate.Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.Create and implement process improvements and key performance indicators.Design Direction:

Set the overall design direction for key projects, translating client requirements and objectives into innovative design concepts.Oversee design projects, which involves managing the design team and monitoring projects to ensure they are on time and within budget.Ensure design solutions align with project goals, budget constraints, and timeline requirements.Client Interaction

Build relationships with key clients.Oversee client projects to ensure quality and adherence to Crimson standards.Collaborate with key clients to incorporate their input into the design process.Project Management

Coordinate design and with procurement teams to ensure seamless project execution from inception to installation.Review project schedules and budgets to ensure meeting deadlines and cost estimates.Resource scheduling- forecast projections.Quality and process improvements.Vendor management/negotiation.Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or related field. Master's degree preferred.5+ years experience managing an interior design team.8 + years of experience working in a residential or commercial design firm, with a proven track record of managing complex projects from concept to completion.ASID or NCIDQ Certification preferred.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of designers.Proficiency in design software such as Revit or AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.Extensive knowledge of current design trends, materials and furnishings.Global experience and mindset desired.Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in a seated environment for up to 8 hours a day.Ability to work on a computer for up to 8 hours a day.Ability to use the phone for extended periods of time.Ability to be able to move around a job site.Benefits:
