Position: Marketing Content Specialist

FLSA: Exempt (Not eligible for overtime in compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations)

Pay Range: $60,000 - $65,000 annually*

Schedule: This full-time position will work on-site from the Augustine Institute campus in Florissant, MO.

Reporting to: Digital Marketing Manager

Position Summary

The Augustine Institute’s Marketing Content Specialist will advance our mission to help Catholics understand, live, and share their faith. You will craft communications to our existing customers and help us to reach new ones who seek to find or deepen their faith. You will assist in executing campaigns to educate and inspire users through both product and content marketing. You will help grow the Amen prayer and meditation app, in addition to the Augustine Institute’s other offerings like FORMED, Word of Life, the Graduate School of Theology, and charitable giving. By reaching Catholics with the right message at the right time in their faith journey, you will help them grow in their faith as they continue to engage with the Augustine Institute.

Build a deep understanding of our users, products, and customer journeys.Write compelling copy for all channels including SEO, web, print, email, social, and more.Plan and execute digital content strategies and tactics across multiple channels and audiences.Expertly develop content making use of the Augustine Institute brand guides.Use of digital marketing tools to gain insight to optimize digital marketing channel content.Provide editorial review of copy from other members of the marketing team and other internal stakeholdersApproach all copy tasks with superb brand knowledge, expert level command of the Chicago and MLA manuals of style, and a keen sense of conversion optimization.Demonstrate excellent communication in highly effective internal and cross-departmental relationships.Use analytical insights to make content recommendations and decisions.All content is reviewed before publishing by peer reviews.Who you are:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or equivalent.2+ years of marketing experience with a focus on content writing and development.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with proven success in copy, grammar, and SEO writing.Highly organized and process-driven, with excellent project management skills.Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

An understanding of the Catholic Church, general knowledge of diocesan organization and operations, and possesses deep empathy for Catholic users of Augustine Institute productsExperience working with Windows operating systems and MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Certifications with major digital platforms like Google, HubSpot, Adobe, etc.Strong interpersonal communications skills including strong facilitation and presentation skillsExcellent negotiation skillsExceptional time management skills and ability to define and achieve outcomes that meet or exceed the organization’s goalsAbility to consistently demonstrate the Augustine Institute’s core values including:Humility – We serve the Augustine Institute Mission with humility and a service mindset.Collaboration – We work together as a united Body of Christ.Innovation – We encourage being creative and demonstrating a clever mindset.Excellence – We strive in everything we do to win souls for Christ.
