Responsibilities

Identify artists to play in the Candlelight Series with a focus on Jazz performersAssist in curating and maintaining a large number of music programsWrite talking points to be delivered by musicians in concerts across the globeMaintain databases of performers, programs, etc. across tools such as Airtable and Google SheetsWork as part of a team, pitching and closing concerts for classical music and jazz artistsWork with the Fever marketing team to make sure our new music programs make an impact in terms of ticket sales and music qualityIdentify and negotiate prices for music arrangementsManage auditions to identify top performers.Review and critique arrangements for piano, string quartet, and/or jazz ensemblesStart date - August 2024Requirements

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a college degree/master program and able to work in our New York City office from September through December on a part time basis (maximum of 29 hours/week)1 to 2 years of experience in music curationBackground in jazz. Classical music and other genres are a plusExcellent sheet-music reading abilitiesExcellent knowledge of the music industry and cultureTeam spirit, excellent work ethic, and friendly and warm attitudeExceptional verbal communication and organizational skills. Facility in additional languages a plusAbility to work with and respond to analyticsKeen attention to detail including strong grammar and spelling skillsStrong propensity to take initiative and thrive on changeAbility to work with cross-functional, multi-geo teams toward mutual objectivesExperience in programming music or work in the music industry is a plusArranging skills and experience in Sibelius or Finale are a plusPerks

A 30 min video call with one of our Curators to better understand your career plan, assess cultural fit, and answer any questions you may haveA 60 min online test with three topics: logic, analytics, and written understandingA 30 min interview with your future manager to assess fit and capabilitiesA 45-60 min business case presentation (to be prepared in advance) to a small panelOn average, our process lasts ~4 weeks and offers usually follow within a week
