Tetra Tech Inc. is currently seeking a

full-time mid-level Civil Site Designer

for our

Newark, DE operations

to provide support on a variety of environmental, engineering, and construction management related projects. Job responsibilities include:

Working with surfaces, profiles and other Civil 3D elements.Reading and comprehending roadway, site and utility construction plans related design drawings, as-builts, specifications, and other design documents.Reviewing submittals or other construction administration documents and facilitate design changes during construction.Producing design drawings with minimal direction and supervision.Producing full-size design drawings.Qualifications:

Candidates must have a minimum of 5-10 years of AutoCAD drafting experience. Qualified candidates should also have/be:

Proficiency with AutoCAD and other similar engineering design software required.Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills required.Self-starter, motivated, and able to work well in a team environment.Knowledge of stormwater software and AutoCAD extensions is a plus.Good file management skills.Experience with the production of design drawings that involve coordination with multiple disciplines is preferred.Knowledge of local permitting requirements is a plus.Effective task management, multi-tasking ability, attention to detail, and learnability.AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is preferred.Able to work with team members, clients and other professional disciplines.Able to interact successfully with all levels of staff, clients and vendors, and work in a collaborative process.Able to plan, organize and implement tasks with successful and timely results.Familiarity with regulatory and permitting requirements and able to incorporate pertinent items into design drawings.Degree/Certifications:

Design software training certification required.Associate's degree or higher required.Physical Demands:

Must be able to occasionally travel to project sites.Work Environment:

Primary work environments are both office and project site settings.
