Come join us...Everyone is welcome at our camp!ABOUT THE POSITION: We are on the lookout for an exceptionally skilled and visionary Director of Product Design to spearhead our dynamic product design team. The perfect candidate will boast a proven track record in crafting innovative and market-leading outdoor gear, possess a profound understanding of design principles, and exhibit the ability to inspire and mentor a team of talented product designers. As the Director of Product Design, you will take charge of leading the team in close collaboration with cross-functional units, merchants, product developers, engineering, and manufacturers. Together, you will strive to create high-quality, functional, and aesthetically pleasing products that push the boundaries of design and technology.RESPONSIBILITIES:

Articulate a compelling vision for the product design team, ensuring alignment with the company's overall brand strategy and business objectives.Guarantee a consistent and appealing design language across our entire product line to enhance brand recognition and resonate with our target audience.Motivate and inspire the design team to consistently push creative boundaries, resulting in the delivery of high-quality, innovative, and aesthetically pleasing products.Provide valuable feedback to designers, fostering an iterative design process that integrates input from diverse stakeholders, promoting collaboration and innovation.Conduct regular design reviews to provide constructive feedback and guide the team toward excellence, especially during seasonal product launches.Implement and refine design processes to optimize efficiency, quality, and collaboration, specifically tailored for multi-brand and multi-season product launches.Manage and oversee the workflow and processes of the design team, promoting efficiency and collaboration across various projects.Stay informed on emerging materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes, leveraging this knowledge to contribute to groundbreaking and innovative product designs.Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, engineering, marketing, and sales to ensure cohesive and successful product launches.Provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities for team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and individual growth.QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Proven experience as a Director of Product Design or a similar leadership role in the outdoor gear industry.A strong portfolio showcasing successful product designs and innovations.Deep knowledge of outdoor activities, gear, and industry trends.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, CAD software, etc.SKILLS/PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change.Communicates effectively with strong focus on written communication and documentation.Demonstrates learning agility with desire to grow and develop.Attention to detail.Hands-on approach to product development/concepting.Ability to stay self-motivated.Basic experience with Microsoft Office programs preferred (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).Positive attitude with collaborative relationships.Ability to adapt and be flexible with regards to project schedules.EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.TRAVEL:

Up to 15% travel required to brand offices in the US; TN, CT, and UT.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Works in manufacturing & office environments.
