AutoCad and/or REVITSketch UpAdobe SuiteMS OfficeSpecsources or similar FF&E spec writing software

Minimum of 10+ years direct industry experienceHospitality interior design experienceBachelor/Master's Degree from an accredited interior design/Architecture programExpertise in one or more interior design fields such as commercial interior design, industrial design, green/sustainability, or ergonomic designAdvanced understanding of building codes, including national and state local codesIn depth knowledge of various product types, code requirements, and interior design practices and how to apply, detail, and specify themResponsibilities

The Interior Design Director consistently directs design and administrative project preparation and ensures that the design, administrative, staffing, and scheduling targets assigned hospitality projects are met within the framework of established policies/procedures (contractual obligations) and in accordance with applicable professional and quality standardsManages and coordinates activities of assigned interior design staff, providing the manpower and design resources in specific functions necessary for project completionResponsible for the overall design quality of projects and collaboration within the studioReview and approve design plans and provides design directionPeriodically review all projects to ensure that quality standards and design requirements are being adhered toDevelop designs according to a brief that are functional, appealing and appropriate for the spaceWork closely with other Directors across the firm to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophy and facilitate its advancement in respective offices and across the firmConduct project review process within the studio to ensure project is on-target, on-brand, and on-timeEnsure compliance with local building codes/agencies and sound planning and design principlesEstablish continued educational environment within budgetary constraints that fosters continual interior design development of staffDevelop ways to organize and execute interior design development for the intent of increasing productivity, building skill level and eliminating duplication of effortsParticipate in recruiting activities to determine the technical skill levels of potential new hire employeesProvide guidance, supervision, mentorship, training and development to direct reportsOwn business development activities within the luxury hospitality space and identify new opportunities with existing projects and clientsAchieve successful results (schedule/budget) for the firm and the client through overall management techniquesSeek ways to improve and maintain the quality of service to our clients through our overall performanceParticipate in proposal writingManage special projects as assignedPerform other duties as assignedBenefits
