Citi’s US in-house creative agency is looking for a Design Lead to art direct its multimedia projects, overseeing the development of social, out-of-home and other digital advertisements for the marketing organization.This position requires a proven record of success in leading designers through branding initiatives in an agency environment.The key characteristics for this position are:+ Dedicated leader – Managing designers on a project-by-project basis to implement Brand guidelines effectively across marketing assets+ Out of the box thinker – Presenting unique concepts leveraging static designs, video and motion graphics to capture audience attention+ Strategic visionary – Guiding the in-house talent to further grow the agency’s offerings+ Accessibility advocate – Checking creatives to ensure Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines have been properly implemented, providing a consistent and successful experience to all customers, regardless of ability+ Continuous learner / Influencer – Promoting continued education to the team, introducing fresh ideas and providing mentorship to help retain and grow in-house talent+ Brand strategist – Maintaining a keen eye and strategizing the most effective methods of implementing brand guidelines to ensure a consistent look and feel that promotes the client's core principles**Key Responsibilities:**The primary responsibility of the in-house agency is to provide their partners with innovative and dynamic assets that adhere to brand guidelines, the client's central messaging and ADA compliance.The Design Lead: Multimedia is specifically responsible for:+ Leading a team of designers to ensure consistency through a wide range of multimedia projects (organic and paid social posts, digital out-of-home ads, playbooks, pitch decks, etc.)+ Work with the Creative Director to brainstorm ideas to enhance the experience and performance results on deliverables+ Guiding designers to deliver social media content from start to finish including creative concepting, designing, production and editing+ Acting as a subject matter expert in social platforms, educating on required specs and best practices for each social platform+ Providing innovative, out of the box input when art directing complex creatives+ Participating in project kickoff meetings, internal reviews and client presentation calls to aid the team in delivering high quality assets+ Identifying and implementing the most effective methods of visually communicating a message and skilled at overseeing the development of multimedia deliverables (static, motion graphics, video, etc.)+ Presenting to senior leadership; clearly explaining the impact of the team’s involvement on marketing initiatives+ Demonstrating Citi’s purpose of making every client’s progress our passion**Qualifications:**+ 8+ years of leadership experience, including a design background with a focus on social media marketing+ Agency experience (in-house agency experience is a plus)+ Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud+ A proven history of design fundamentals (including typography, color theory, brand adherence, and critical thinking with regards to creative application)+ Experience with ADA compliance as it pertains to marketing collateral is a plus+ Strong presentation skills and the ability to clearly and effectively discuss projects+ Successful experience partnering with internal clients and senior leaders+ Excellent organizational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple key priorities+ Ability to adhere to a process calendar+ Ability to successfully collaborate with local and remote team members+ Mac literacy**Hiring Locations:**+ New York, NY+ Irving, TX**Education:**+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication/Advertising, or related field**Job Family Group:**Marketing**Job Family:**Communication & Creative Services**Time Type:**Full time**Primary Location:**New York New York United States**Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:**$129,840.00 - $194,760.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
