Join us.**Job Summary:**The position will be working with the Caterpillar Product Compliance & Support – Substance Compliance team to preform lower-level data analysis specifically for product chemical management regulatory compliance. The position will also assist in regulatory declaration reporting and provide input for new process tool development. A member of the Caterpillar Product Compliance & Support – Substance Compliance team will provide high level leadership for this position, but the individual must be able to self-directed and motivated.**What You Will Do:**•Participate in receiving and tracking of Caterpillar substance compliance customer requests• Conduct substance analysis process using Caterpillar material specifications (1E material specifications)• Assist in maintenance of metrics on Chemical Management customer requests• Support tool & database improvements by providing end user feedback needs for system requirement development**Education Requirement:**Associate’s degree- drafting, design, or engineering related**What Skills You Will Have:****Accuracy and Attention to Detail:**• Excel experience (pivot tables, formula creation & execution)**Effective Communications:**• Good verbal and written communication**Initiative:**• Self starter• Identify process improvement opportunities**Maintaining Focus:**• High organizational skills• Ability to track multiple projects running concurrently**Problem Solving:**• Able to propose resolutions• Critical thinking• Data analysis**Teamwork:**• Fast paced environment• High peer collaboration• Constant communication through Teams, phone call, emails, etc**Computer-Aided Design & Engineering:**• Blueprint reading• Understanding specifications on prints and how they relate• Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.**Product Design - MFG:**• Materials knowledge• Manufacturing Process Knowledge- understanding the process**Additional Information**The location for this position is Rapid City, SD.Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
