Are you ready to travel the world?**Key Responsibilities:**Reporting to the Senior Manager of Marketing Research and Insights, the Manager will partner with Identity, Product, and Loyalty (IPLR) teams to lead, define, and implement data analytics initiatives. The Manager will apply analytic expertise, project management experience, business insight, and leadership to deliver analyses and resources that drive product strategy and commercial value. The Manager will also lead a team of analysts, facilitating development, insights capabilities, and strategic recommendations for the IPLR department.**Execute for Results**+ Implement solutions to business problems using marketing acumen, data analysis and advanced analytics.+ Independently seek and analyze data from a variety of sources to support decisions and to align others with the organization's overall strategy.+ Comfortable navigating ambiguity and uncertainty; able to adapt nimbly and lead data strategy.+ Passionate about data analytics and improving customer experience.+ Strong strategic and critical thinking, problem-solving skills.**Leadership**+ Responsible for output, development, and growth of direct reports+ Develop team members’ professional growth and prioritize talent retention+ Display best-practices and teach while implementing+ Demonstrate storytelling with data, creating recommendations, and communicating complex quantitative concepts in a clear, precise, and actionable manner.+ Works with leaders to define team’s roadmap**Project Management**+ Handle multiple projects with team members across IPLR department by understanding and balancing the competing demands for project scope, time, and quality while being accountable for deliverables.+ Proactively resolve roadblocks to keep projects progressing, handle collaborator expectations on current and future business needs.+ Responsible for tracking projects from ideation to completion+ Exercise strong organizational skills and attention to detail.**Ownership**+ Create, present, and lead ongoing and ad-hoc project status reports to business partners as well as Data Engineering and IT teams.+ Outstanding writing, communication, and presentation skills.+ The ability to lead presentations to senior audiences as required.NOTE: This is a Chicago-based, hybrid role with in-office requirements 50% of the time.United values diverse experiences, perspectives, and we encourage everyone who meets the minimum qualifications to apply. We are always looking for individuals who will bring something new to the table!**Qualifications****What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):**+ Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or quantitative field (statistics, engineering, analytics, information systems, aviation management, or related degree)+ 4-6+ years of experience in analytics role (analytics, revenue management, customer loyalty, marketing, pricing, financial analysis, consulting, data engineering or other relevant quantitative field)+ Experience demonstrating leadership, especially in a non-managerial capacity (e.g. influencing peers and leadership)+ Experience working with large datasets and reporting or visualization tools+ Experience with database interface tools and statistical programming languages such as SQL+ Proven proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship+ Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification+ Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position**What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):**+ Master's degree in Business management, analytics, or quantitative field+ 1+ years experience in team management+ 1+ year airline experience+ Experience leading a team in an official capacity+ Experience with statistical analysis and modeling including linear regression, segmentation, non-linear predictive (e.g. logistic) regression or machine learning+ Experience with statistical tools and programming languages (R, Python, SAS, or similar)+ Experience with Marketing analytics or email metrics+ Experience with Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI, or other visualization toolsUnited Airlines is an equal opportunity employer.
