**What You'll Do**As a member of the Principal Enterprise Architecture team, you will be responsible for leading the development of architecture planning and technology strategy for Enterprise Information Security & Risk platforms. These enterprise shared platforms are used to protect Principal and its employees, partners, and customers from damaging acts and advance our digital transformation strategies.The Information Security & Risk Enterprise Platform Architect will actively collaborate with Technology Platform Owners, Product Managers, and key partners to ensure Principal’s Information Security & Risk solutions are successfully designed, developed, deployed, and operated. In addition to the development of strategic architectures, you will be a champion for information security & risk best practices, education, advanced topics research, and mentorship across the company.This is a hands-on (individual contributor) position with responsibility for setting architectural direction and seeing the direction through to high-quality solution deployments.+ Define information security platform architecture standards and ensure appropriate alignment of process and technology solutions with enterprise architecture guidance.+ Lead platform architecture strategies to optimize and modernize information security platform technology portfolios and encourage reusability and adaptability of Principal's process and technology assets to achieve enterprise leverage.+ Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization to influence, coach, and mentor on how to consume and apply key aspects of platform architectures.+ Partner with business and technology leaders, including platform owners, to formulate platform architecture strategies to achieve our company's business objectives and priorities and result in efficient and effective use of our information technology assets.+ Identify, research, recommend and drive adoption of emerging and innovative technologies, techniques and tools that enable the business to achieve strategic platform goals and respond to future market changes.+ Assess architecture risk and impact of platforms related business and technology decisions communicating implications and mitigation strategies across the organization.+ Deliver architecture in an agile manner in alignment with our enterprise delivery practices.+ Represent enterprise architecture governance mechanisms and practices in broader decision making / operating model conversations and influencing how decisions are made beyond the enterprise architecture practice.+ Act as an advocate for ensuring that specific information security platform solution architectures align with the overall enterprise architecture goals.+ Ensure technology remains cost effective, efficient, and of high quality.Operating at the intersection of financial services and technology, Principal builds financial tools that help our customers live better lives. Our mission, integrity, and customer focus have made us a trusted leader for more than 140 years.As Principal continues to modernize its systems, this role will offer you an exciting opportunity to build solutions that will directly impact our long-term strategy and tech stack, all while ensuring that our products are robust, scalable, and secure!**Who You Are**+ You have a Bachelor’s degree or related experience and 10+ years of experience with a multi-business unit global organization+ You have hands-on, practical expertise developing technology strategies and roadmaps as well as architecting and implementing enterprise information security & risk system technologies related to Vulnerability Management and Data Protection as well as Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), including standard processes and current trends+ You are collaborative and enjoy working with technical and non-technical teams**Skills That Will Help You Stand Out**+ Direct experience with Microsoft, AWS, CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, Zscaler, Snowflake, CSPM Tech, GitHub Enterprise, and/or ServiceNow security solutions and services+ Direct experience with on-premises, cloud, and hybrid security architectures and solutions+ One or more current information security and/or Enterprise Architecture certifications+ ITIL Foundation Certification+ Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and growth within architecture field (i.e., training, or architectural certifications such as TOGAF)+ Experience with Agile SDLC, DevSecOps, CI/CD Pipeline and where Enterprise Architecture will interface, touch, and contribute to solution architects and solution engineers+ Understands Six Sigma and/or Lean principles+ Knowledge of financial and insurance industry preferred**Salary Range Information**Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.**Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)**$137000 - $185000 / year**Time Off Program**Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness.
