If this sounds exciting to you, please read on.As a Business Intelligence Engineer on the Prime Video Content Analytics and Products (PVCAPs) team, you will collaborate with cross-functional business teams (like Strategy, Finance, Production Operations, Engineering, Product) to build high impact tools that solve business needs.Our engineers create automated and scalable analytical data products that will ultimately be critical in driving the growth and expansion of the business.The ideal candidate thrives in working with large volumes of data, is passionate about analytics, and enjoys the challenge of creating solution-oriented products for the business.The candidate should be a self-starter; comfortable with ambiguity, eager to learn and pick up new skills, able to think big, and enjoy working in a fast-paced and global team. It’s a big ask, and we’re excited to talk to those up for the challenge!Key job responsibilities· Own, design, develop, document, and manage scalable solutions for new and ongoing reports, analyses, ETL pipelines and dashboards to support business needs.· Generate actionable insights through the development of new tools, dashboards, reports and deep dive analyses.· Serve as a technical, business-metrics specialist and insight provider to business stakeholders in the organization.· Act as a key interface between our internal business customers and technical teams.· Leverage extensive data sets to derive strategic insights that shape business decisions on content spend and studio investments.· Present insights to senior stakeholders in creative development, strategy, finance, production, and technology.· Work in a fast paced, global environment, across various functional teams.A day in the lifeCreate and manage automated and scalable analytical tools to drive growth and expansion of the business. Partner with cross-functional teams to present on business and production data, providing consumer insights and content analytics. Leverage data to provide key data-driven recommendations, enable new analyses, and innovate on behalf of our business customers.About the teamThe Prime Video Content Analytics & Products team is dedicated to developing software and business intelligence products that streamline the process of planning, configuring, and tracking content launches at every stage of the title lifecycle, from the initial concept through production to post-launch analysis.Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in statistics, business analytics, data analytics, data science, computer science or related field- Experience with data querying or modeling with SQL- Experience building and maintaining basic data artifacts (e.g., ETL, data models, queries)- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools- Experience in designing and implementing custom reporting systems using automation toolsPreferred Qualifications- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C+- Experience gathering business requirements, using industry standard business intelligence tool(s) to extract data, formulate metrics and build reports- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline designAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $74,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
