The office is also responsible for York brand identity, internal and external communications, and the marketing initiatives. The Office also collaborates with Institutional Advancement, the President’s Office and a number of units in the college.Driven by high standards in a deadline-aware environment, the Communications and College Relations Manager will be visionary strategist, strong project manager, and have expertise in two or more of the following areas: graphics, writing, multimedia. The Manager will serve as the strategic lead for college-wide communications across traditional and digital platforms. The position reports to the Director of Communications & Marketing tosupport day-to-day marketing/communication operations, working closely with the Director of Communications and Marketing to identify and support the objectives and goals of various marketing campaigns and provide communication solutions including print, digital and social media marketing efforts.· Work with faculty and the College’s key departments, including Student Affairs, the Center for Disabilities, the Women’s Center, the Office of Veteran Affairs, Government Affairs, and other student success-based departments to proactively develop story ideas and strategically market and promote the colleges' programs, events, faculty/staff and student achievements to key internal and external audiences.· Provide guidance on generational marketing and communications preferences for different target audiences so materials are appropriate and effective in meeting communication goals.· Evaluate marketing strategies and work in concert with the Digital Content and Social Media Specialist to analyze data on exposure, traffic and other metrics to inform digital strategies and traditional communications tactics.· Develop and create content including student success stories and faculty/staff/alumni and donor profiles and fundraising initiatives, as needed.· Research, evaluate and fact-check story leads to develop story ideas.
