The Coordinator of Advancement Communications will help execute a strategic communications plan by creating dynamic content that engages SUNY Brockport alumni, donors, and friends with the university. Reporting to the Director of Content Strategy, this individual will generate content for key Advancement communications initiatives, including its email campaigns, event calendars, social media channels, fundraising collateral, website, and more. The Coordinator of Advancement Communications will work closely with staff throughout the Division of Advancement and Communications to bolster major initiatives and messages, including engagement of our 110,000+ alumni, fundraising efforts, Senior Class giving and engagement, Homecoming and other institutional traditions, as well as overall University marketing efforts. This individual will play close attention to key performance indicators throughout the division’s digital channels and work alongside the Director of Content Strategy to ensure the deliverability, engagement, and goal completion of campaigns. The Coordinator will also play a key role in storytelling efforts to engage alumni, donors, and the Brockport community — writing alumni news stories and profiles for The Port, the University’s alumni e-newsletter, as well as other digital mediums.Minimum Qualifications:+ Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business or related field.+ Minimum one year of experience in Advancement, Communications, Marketing, or Alumni Engagement.+ Experience building targeted email marketing campaigns inside a CMS (Constituent Management System).+ Experience managing popular social media channels.+ Superior written communication skills.+ Ability to work some weekend and evening hours, and occasional travel.Preferred Qualifications:+ Familiarity with web and email analytics.+ Knowledge of AP style.+ Experience creating content in a website content management system.+ Experience with event marketing.+ Fundraising experience.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pmSalary and Benefits: The Minimum Salary for this position is $55,151.This position is benefits eligible; Find out more about benefits at Careers@Brockport!
