Our group drives competitive advantage by enhancing our consumer experiences, enabling business growth, and advancing operational excellence.**What You Will Do**The **Business Network Design Services (BNDS) Manager** is accountable for the delivery and support of key network technology projects and solutions that support numerous business units within TWDC including, Real Estate, Enterprise Technology, ESPN, Walt Disney World, Disneyland, ABC News, Nat Geo, and more. The BNDS Manager oversees a staff of 5 full time network engineering cast members as well as numerous contract and 3rd party resources, working collaboratively with other BNDS leaders in the matrixed use additional resources as needed to deliver against key project commitments. The BNDS Manager is a strategic role, that oversees all aspects of network service delivery for the Northeast Region and a large 12M annual network refresh program for Disney Experiences, including, but not limited to:+ Demand management, forecasting, triage and prioritization of all incoming work efforts, across stakeholders. Development of resource plans, rationalizing FTE and incremental resource needs based on validated demand forecasts.+ Works closely with leadership on financial planning, including annual budget planning and LRFP in support of project demand. Works with business unit partners on forecasts and funding strategies for needed network technology solutions.+ General project portfolio management, including (where appropriate) establishing executive status and reporting, oversight, and management of project managers/coordinators.+ Relationship management across pertinent local stakeholders.+ Human resource and training management.+ Ongoing talent acquisition and management.+ Collaboration with Network Operations.+ Collaboration with Global Network Design & Engineering on technology standards.+ Establishment and management of 3rd party service providers, ongoing local vendor management across all network partner.+ Quality assurance and overall service delivery management of delivered services, including standards, design reviews, compliance, fit for use.+ Has demonstrated success in the areas of team leadership, management and mentorship.+ Can scale influence and leadership across a broad array of business use cases.+ Understands and can practically apply the concepts of resource demand planning, project portfolio management, infrastructure service delivery, and service roadmaps.+ Seeks to understand customer perspective/feedback and informs leadership (voice of the customer).+ Thinks in terms of technologies, capabilities and service delivery.+ Can comprehend and understand the intersection of business requirements and technology solutions, asking the right questions, and influencing/leading network engineers to fit for use solutions.+ Understands the concept encompassed in delivering infrastructure as a service.+ Possesses strong communication skills resulting in the ability to produce clear, concise and consumable verbal and written communications/depictions.+ Is self-organizing and capable of autonomous execution.+ Is able to effectively interact with cross functional senior technical and executive resources.**Required Qualifications & Skills**+ 8+ years in technology infrastructure+ 8+ years in managing teams+ 8+ years in managing project delivery+ 8+ years in IT service delivery+ 8+ years in a large enterprise environment that provides 7x24 services to a broad internal customer base+ 8+ years technology evaluation, problem resolution and project management+ Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences+ Ability to work with a wide array of technical and managerial personnel to solve complex problems+ Strong customer service skills and orientation+ Knowledge of film entertainment, hospitality, video distribution and broadcast+ Understanding of network concepts such as LAN, WAN, Internet and WiFi+ Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate and oversee complex projects+ Strong presentation skills+ Adept at written and oral communications+ Strong requirements facilitation skills+ Ability to interface and collaborate directly with IT constituents, executives, business partners and vendors+ Ability to think innovatively+ Self-organizing and motivated+ Preferred media, entertainment industry experience**Education**+ Bachelor's degree in STEM, engineering, mathematics, business, or other related scientific or technical discipline required and/or equivalent work experience+ Certifications (all or some): ITIL, TOGAF, Zachman, Project ManagementThe hiring range for this position in New York is $156,292 to $209,660 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
