TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGER - Satellite CommunicationsALTA IT Services has a direct hire opening for a Technical Program Manager with Satellite Communications experience to support an Irvine, CA-based satellite communications company. This is a full-time onsite position.+ The hiring team is seeking a motivated Technical Program Manager (TPM) to serve as the technical/programmatic coordinator supporting internal engineering teams for designing, qualifying, and building ground SatCom terminals to exacting standards for value customers. As part of a program management team, the TPM will drive critical product development programs to ensure requirements are thoroughly reviewed, risks are well mitigated, progress is smoothly scheduled, and provide technical input into commercial discussions.+ In this role, the TPM will closely work with internal and external engineering teams to help prioritize, coordinate, and facilitate product design, testing, verifications, integration, deployment, and troubleshooting. They will be guiding cross-functional teams to focus on the most critical technical challenges by envisioning the “big picture” of the overall business cases. They will prepare succinct and insightful program summaries to present internal and external executive managers in periodic business reviews.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:+ Support the business development division to initialize new programs for customers, including drafting technical proposals, preparing product white papers, and estimating development timeframe.+ Coordinate engineering team to review and assess internal and external product specifications for final requirements settlement.+ Coordinate cross-functional teams to define program timelines and critical milestones, including design reviews, prototyping, pilot runs, and product delivery.+ Host periodic program meetings and special workshops to track action items, identify critical paths, mitigate risks, and resolve technical issues.+ Manage the program master timeline by tracking deliverables, benchmarking milestones, coordinating communications, mitigating delays, and handling unexpected issues.+ Summarize program progress for internal and external stakeholders, from engineers to executive managers.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:+ Basic understanding of Satellite Communication system+ 5+ years of experience in the Satellite Communication industry+ MS degree in relevant field preferred+ Background in electrical, mechanical, and/or software engineering+ Experience with SatCom product hardware or software design, development, and integration.+ Demonstrated program management skills in environments that include technical and business uncertainty.+ Excellent verbal communication skills with an ability to understand people across language barriers and to interact with colleagues from different cultural backgrounds.+ Excellent written communication skills with an ability to adapt presentation style as required for different audiences.+ A self-motivated and dedicated individual who demonstrates exceptional creative and critical thinking abilities, along with outstanding attention to detail.+ Demonstrated documentation skills in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project) to prepare internal and external documents.SALARY RANGE: $135,000 to $150,000 annually, plus benefits.For consideration, please contact Melissa McNally via mmcnally@altaits.com#M2System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, CM Access, TPGS, and MOUNTAIN, LTD., are leaders in delivering workforce solutions and integrated services across North America.
