**Overview**As a member of the People Program Design and Development team, you play a pivotal role in shaping people strategies, initiatives and roadmaps that support employee engagement at the co-op. Reporting to the Director, People Programs Development and Design, you will design, develop, test, pilot and implement digital assets in moments that matter most in the employee experience journey: when they join, develop, perform and exit. Your role creates intuitive value by focusing on multi-media asset creation that shapes the People Programs and HR “brand”, engages learners in new and interactive ways, manages the portfolio of digital assets applied across various People Programs, and provides design expertise and consulting across the People Programs team in ways that applies creative thinking and solutioning to positively impact the users of the people programs and the business.+ Creates and implements effective Talent Management and People program initiatives by employing an experience design (graphic design/multi-media) mindset to processes in order to achieve strategic business initiatives.+ Understands the underlying principles of Human Centered Design (Design Thinking) and is able to apply HCD in the creation of end-user centered solutions.+ Supports streamlined user experience of key people processes, including identifying and operationalizing opportunities for process improvement and evolution.+ Creates process improvement mechanisms including automation on some of the existing processes/tools to ensure standardization and ease of use.+ Leverages deep business understanding to identify issues, diagnose root causes, provide insights, offer recommendations, and develop proactive solutions to solve pressing business objectives through a people lens+ Applies strong analytical skills and attention to detail to understand complex problems and root causes, leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to develop insights, guide decisions, and formulate solutions+ Collaborates with HRBPs, HR COEs, Employee Relations, Legal and business leaders to help facilitate organizational changes and respond to employee feedback on people processes.+ Embeds principles of REDI (Racial Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) into program design and delivery.+ Collaborates across the People Programs team to implement consistent “brand” look and feel while designing and delivering multi-modality assets as part of the management of a larger experience design portfolio+ Validates stakeholder engagement plans to bring the right people together focused on the right work at the right time.+ Evaluate people programming solutions based on the balanced mix of desirable solutions that are feasible, and viable to the business.+ Understands the co-op’s business and the marketplace to ensure connection of people programs to business outcomes and the co-op’s external and internal branding.+ Thinks creatively by looking outside of the HR division to learn leading-edge design practices both within the co-op and other organizations.**Responsibilities and Qualifications**+ Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5+ years’ experience. Masters in HR/Industrial Psychology is ideal+ Proficiency in digital authoring tools, including Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, etc.+ A background in graphic design across various platforms.+ Ability to adapt to various digital mediums, including video, social media, and audio+ Understands and can council on the principles of inclusive design+ Data analysis – can leverage quantitative and qualitative data to enable informed decision making+ Ability to build strong working relationships and work collaboratively across all levels of the organization, including remote areas and in field environments+ Consulting & collaboration – skilled at consulting with wide variety of partner types and navigating unchartered territory+ Project management – stakeholder engagement, program execution, and change management+ Experience developing programs across the employee lifecycle+ Excellent oral and written communication skills, and must be comfortable engaging with senior leaders+ Knowledge of core Talent Management programs including performance management, promotions, succession, Career Development, Mobility and Learning+ Proactive and self-directed with ability to manage/complete multiple projects with competing deadlines+ Proficient with Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, & Excel**Closing****At REI, we believe the outdoors is for all.** We are committed to becoming a fully inclusive, anti-racist, multicultural organization (ei.com/newsroom/article/rei-antiracist-multicultural-fully-inclusive-commitment) .
