The role involves:• Owning full P&L controllership and business partnership from top to bottom line• Supporting multiple Marketplaces (Canada, Mexico, Australia, Rest of World)• Overseeing the business across both print and digital formats• Providing strategic leadership for a scalable approach to business problemsAbout the teamThe scope of this role is broad, with high visibility, multiple marketplaces, and P&L accountability across different product formats. This presents a great opportunity for someone looking to take on significant business leadership responsibilities and grow their skills.Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experiencePreferred Qualifications- MBA, or CPA- Knowledge of SQL/ETL- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of resultsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
