A 15% salary uplift is provided on top of base salary for positions that are worked in New York City or San Francisco, which is subject to change depending on market conditions.)_** **.**# OverviewBechtel has a strong tradition of technical and engineering excellence in supporting multiple industries. Corporate communications and corporate affairs university graduates will provide support to corporate, business and project teams in a variety of areas including business communications, media and public relations, social media, executive communications, issues management and crisis communications, marketing and branding, video production, graphic design, podcasts, and research. Additionally, assistance with data and document management or other non-technical related areas will be provided.The total number of hires and start dates are subject to workload and business conditions. Locations will vary based on the business needs, and may include Reston, VA; Houston, TX; Washington, DC; along with various project sites.# General Job Duties+ Write compelling content for internal and external platforms (web, intranet, blog, social media, etc.), and media outreach activities, in collaboration with internal and external experts+ Create multimedia content+ Curate content for a variety of Bechtel publications and websites+ Perform research and analysis to support issues management, reputation management, and media relations+ Support execution of internal and external communications plans+ Serve as a webmaster for internal and external websites+ Perform other duties as necessary# Basic Qualifications+ A bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Broadcasting, Mass Communications or a related field from an accredited college or University+ Eligibility to work and remain in the U.S. without sponsorship+ Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check+ Good writer, proficient in AP style+ Understanding of social media and digital communications+ Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Online suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Yammer, and PowerPoint)+ Demonstrated teamwork, strategic thinking, problem solving, strong interpersonal skills, initiative with professional discipline, motivation, and the desire to continually learn+ Accurate, detail-oriented, and quick learner with ability to take direction from multiple sources+ Able to work within a multicultural global team+ A writing exercise may be required.
