The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems and equipment. This role requires a deep understanding of telecommunications technology, including voice, data, and video communications systems. The candidate must also hold a Secret Clearance and be DOD 8140 compliant.Key Responsibilities:+ Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications systems and equipment, including cables, switches, routers, and other related hardware.+ Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to telecommunications systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining system integrity.+ System Upgrades: Perform upgrades and modifications to telecommunications systems as required, ensuring compliance with industry standards and security protocols.+ Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and system configurations. Prepare detailed reports on system performance and issues.+ Compliance: Ensure all telecommunications activities comply with DOD 8140 regulations and other relevant industry standards.+ Collaboration: Work closely with other IT and technical teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of telecommunications systems within the broader network infrastructure.+ Security: Implement and adhere to security protocols, ensuring all telecommunications systems are secure and protected from unauthorized access.+ Technical Support: Provide technical support to end-users and other team members, addressing issues and providing guidance on telecommunications technology.Qualifications:+ Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Telecommunications Mechanic or in a related field+ Education: Associate's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.+ Clearance: Active Secret Clearance is required.+ Compliance: Must be DOD 8140 compliant.+ Technical Skills: Proficient in telecommunications systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
