Summary About the Position: Serve as a Training Instructor/Writer for Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (IJSTO), as part of the STO Analysis and Training Cell at Ft. Leavenworth, KS under the HQDA, G-3/5/7, DAMO-ODG. Responsibilities Design, develop, and revise lessons for STO education and training program in accordance with the Army Learning Model (ALM). Ensure course design, development, or revision work systematically aligns with related courses across the Army and Joint Force. Conduct planning, programming, and training management practices to deliver curricula in the TRADOC-approved automated learning content management system. Evaluate and analyze student training programs and makes final recommendations for solutions to problems associated with leader education and student training. Responsible for the maintenance of courseware material for Special Technical Operations (STO) Analysis and Training Cell Facilitate student discussion to meet course learning objectives. Read, analyze, and critique student assignments, including essays, case study reports, and papers and exercises as required. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes managing instructional design and production; analyzing training objectives to ensure regulatory compliance; developing course curriculum and training objectives; presenting lessons in a resident setting or through distributed learning. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Curriculum Development Education / Training Program Administration Learning and Program Evaluation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
