We are excited about the opportunity to work with you and glad you want to be part of a team of talented individuals who together are changing the way the world communicates.Requisition ID: 73858Thin Films Deposition Process Engineering Co-Op- Winter/SpringPosition Summary:Seeking a co-op to join the Process Engineering Group at Skyworks in Woburn, MA, for a 6 month duration (January 2025 - June 2025).In this role, you will support and develop wafer fabrication processes that produce RF and mobile communication devices including HBT, BiFET, pHEMT, BiHEMT, and GaN at various performance nodes. The co-op will be working with process engineers from our Thin Films section to support daily wafer production, with tools including e-beam evaporation, PECVD, physical sputtering, electroplating, and thermal anneal.Responsibilities+ Contribute to process development and meet On-Time-Delivery goals by working within a diverse team including engineers, technicians, operators, and quality controls, across various shifts+ Help engineers to design tests and work with Operations to execute the plans+ Handle wafers and perform measurements using profilometer, Rs probe, etc.+ Collect, analyze, and present data+ Generate and maintain process documentation that meets regulatory/methodology requirementsQualifications+ Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a similar technical engineering discipline.+ Available onsite for up to a 6 month duration.+ Must be enrolled in a College or University for the full duration of the position.+ Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).+ Experience with statistical experiment designs and software package such as JMP and Minitab highly desirable.+ Hands on, detail oriented, and strong in core engineering principles.+ Good troubleshooting and communication skills.+ Ability and willingness to work in a cleanroom semiconductor processing environment.#LI-KJ1The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
