This position develops, coordinates, schedules, and evaluates the effectiveness and impact of all professional development initiatives within the Education Division. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide supervision of assigned staff in the areas including, but not limited to, recruitment, selection, leadership, coaching, training, performance management, promotion, discipline, and termination In coordination with the Sr. Director of Training and Professional Development and the Education Division leadership team, develop an overall mission, vision, and strategy to address professional development within the service area Collaborate with program directors and supervisors to identify specific new and emerging professional development opportunities through regular division-wide formal and informal needs assessments and to support/enhance current staff training curriculum for all positions at every level throughout the education division Identify and disseminate relevant external professional development opportunities for education division staff to ensure that opportunities align with division-wide training needs Plan and coordinate delivery of internal professional development offerings for education division staff consistent with identified individual development needs and in coordination with division-wide professional development plan to ensure the cohesive delivery of high-quality services to children and families Remain informed of current, up to date PDE training and certification requirements through networking with Approved Private School (APS) regional association and reviewing PDE bulletins and other resources to ensure compliance and implementation of best practices within Education Division professional development systems Plan all internal Act 48 certified staff trainings with tasks including, but not limited to, arranging rooms/space, maintaining attendance records, and submitting reports to PDE Research and disseminate relevant Act 45 training information for staff needing to maintain leadership certifications Schedule dates, times, locations/rooms for all internal professional development events occurring within or on Elwyn premises Develop and maintain a working relationship and active directory of local subject matter experts ( MEs) in special education and allied health services, including, but not limited to: Speech Language Pathology (SLP), Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), behavior specialists, special educators, etc. to provide training, forums, and professional development Provide an array of learning and development modalities to stakeholders including, but not limited to, classroom-based training, web-based training (in coordination with Information Technology (IT) learning platform development specialist), consultation, coaching, modeling and observation, discipline-specific meetings, group supervision, peer supervision, mentoring, information sharing, and internship program coordination and administration (in coordination with Talent Acquisition) Track and maintain training data for all professional development and certifications required and completed by education division staff in compliance with PDE regulations, Act 48 (teachers) and Act 45 (leaders) through use of school database administration platform Manage required Behavioral and Crisis Management training certification for all staff by scheduling training and tracking when staff are due for re-certification Ensure all administrative and supervisory staff evaluate their direct reports (Classroom Support Staff (CSS), one to ones, teachers, administrative support staff, clinical staff, and administrators) annually by ensuring all required training and annual performance evaluations are completed and entered and tracked in school database administration platform Participate in the development of PDE Act 48 Elwyn Plan by completing necessary paperwork as required by PDE in fulfilling Act 48 mandates Coordinate and manage professional development work groups and committees throughout the education division with tasks including, but not limited to, conducting needs assessments and professional development focus groups, researching best practices in education staff professional development, and staying informed of national and state legislative initiatives as it impacts education staff professional development needs Coordinate the team activities of Instructional Coaches to facilitate the transfer of skills to Education Division staff members using a coaching and consultation model In collaboration with the Senior Director of Professional Development, develop and implement global strategy and targeted activities to address the ongoing needs of staff and stakeholders including but not limited to staff surveys, employee satisfaction, employee engagement, employee appreciation, stakeholder surveys, stakeholder engagements, etc. Oversees the implementation of the coaching and consultation model utilized by the Instructional Coaches, in alignment with didactic content delivery and core curricula for various roles within the Education Division, as well as the implementation of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) with fidelity to ensure competency and ongoing application of learned content Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in education or related field; Master's degree in field preferred Two (2) years' supervisory experience Five (5) years' experience in education or related field Two (2) years of program administrative experience, including staff development and appraisal management Three (3) years' experience in curriculum development, staff development, or quality improvement; demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans relative to program initiatives Demonstrated ability to develop and
