Marketers at ESS are self-motivated individuals with a positive attitude who actively contribute to a wide range of marketing-related activities. That's just job-description speak for saying, we need someone who not only has the chops to do the job but the passion to do it right.

The Social Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing engaging social media content that increases brand awareness and drives engagement across various platforms.

What will I be doing, you may be asking:Support the development of social media strategy and craft compelling posts that support broader communications and marketing goals.Serve as the point person with our audiences, which means monitoring, responding and engaging with our online community, fostering positive interactions, mining for UGC and building relationships.Write and copy-edit social media post content.Collaborate with the marketing, communications and creative teams to create compelling visuals to increase engagement.Build relationships and coordinate with leadership and other employee-owners across the country to gather company updates and important information to disseminate across channels.Determine the best time to post for each channel based on web traffic and engagement trends.Work with outside agencies to launch and monitor paid social campaigns.Be knowledgeable on audience demographics and preferences to help guide our digital approach to content.Provide recommendations and strategy on the latest industry news, platform updates and changes that may impact strategies and content plansManage the layout and visual elements of each social account.And, of course, "other duties as assigned."Now that we've covered the day-to-day, let's talk about what you need to thrive in this role:

You should have a bachelor's in journalism, public relations, communications, advertising or marketing, and three or more years of experience managing social media strategy.Seems obvious, but you need a demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.Strong skills and experience with social media analytics.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.We need someone who's really good at all the tech required to do this job and proven work experience to back that up.This role will handle multiple brands and companies, so you need to be able to stretch your strategy across them all while staying true to each brand's voice and tone.You need to know your way around all the social media platforms, and you should have experience with in-app editing tools to create engaging reels and videos.But you should also have the ability to grasp emerging trends and adapt appropriately. (We don't stand still around here!)You should know Google Suite and be on a first-name basis with the Adobe Creative Suite tools.It should go without saying, but we want someone who sweats the details (and triple-checks their work).We want exceptional skills in writing and proofreading.You need to have solid research practices and instinctively know where to access information online.Project management skills are crucial, so you'll need to have a sense of urgency and know how to meet project deadlines (because you don't want to be that person...), all while working independently and as part of a team (I promise we're fun).Bonus skills/experience:

Know a little about the A/E/C industry already? Bonus!Know about civil construction, too? Double bonus!We use Monday (project management), Wordpress (website), and Sprout (social media), so it would be fantastic if you already know those tech tools.¿Hablas español? We routinely translate our copy into Spanish. If you can write or QC Spanish content, that would be outstanding!LocationIt is preferred that this team member work out of our Kansas City, Missouri office. However, other office locations may be considered.

TravelSome travel is required, including overnight stays.
