Working in close partnership with colleagues across the US, Europe, and Asia, as well as agency partners, responsibilities will include developing earned media opportunities that highlight PGIMs position as a leading global asset manager, elevating visibility of senior leaders and portfolio managers across PGIM and its affiliates including Jennison and PGIM Quantitative Solutions.The Director will work with a network of stakeholders across a broad range of functions in support of PGIMs public markets brand including the business CEOs, product and marketing teams, thought leadership and research teams, and portfolio managers and analysts.Specific responsibilities will include communications strategy, management of media relations; spokesperson training and coaching; crisis communications and issues management; executive positioning; social/digital communications activities.What you can expectDevelop and implement global communications strategies in support of PGIM and its businesses that promote the firms strategic growth initiatives, thought leadership and investment strategies.Cultivate stakeholder relationships across functional areas, identifying key areas of opportunity where communications can support business objectives.Oversee strategic external communications planning and earned media campaign management.Partner with Asia Pacific and EMEA communications colleagues to shape and implement communications strategy in priority markets.Manage and direct relationships with PR agency resources.Identify and leverage macro trends to inform and position appropriate business narratives, and create communications plans to amplify these narratives.Discern and capitalize on creative news angles.Establish and nurture relationships with media targets, both traditional and non-traditional.Plan and execute issues response and crisis communication strategies as needed.Serve as a spokesperson for PGIM.Identify new media spokespeople, facilitate media training, and support media engagement through prep sessions, staffing, post-engagement feedback.Track and report out key metrics, demonstrating the value communications provides in support of business objectives.What you will bringBachelors degree in any field of academic rigor.8+ years of communications experience; corporate and agency backgrounds beneficial; asset management or financial services experience a must.Entrepreneurial and action-oriented.Proven ability to partner and deliver strategic business value while also able to work independently.Understands the organization's internal and external business environments, including how it delivers value to customers, the market it operates in, and how its separate functions work together.Executive presence; comfortable providing strategic counsel to senior executives.Strong project management skills with the ability to drive processes, integrate concepts and lead through influence.Existing relationships with key journalists and capable of establishing new relationships.Impeccable writing and editing skills, and strong news judgement.What will set you apart:Global worldview, knowledge of geopolitical and macroeconomic forces.Sees connections that others do not, successfully applies ideas drawn from seemingly unrelated contexts, and generates a wide array of useful solutions to solve problems.Understanding of how to operate within organizations of scale and in a highly matrixed environment.Effectively persuades others, remains diplomatic in difficult situations, and leverages a large network of relationships for the good of the business.Data-oriented, leveraging key metrics to identify new opportunities.*PGIM welcomes all applicants, even if you don't meet every requirement.
