Our people, data, and analytics create global technology insights that accelerate customer success. IDC has been recognized for four consecutive years (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023) by the IIAR as the Analyst Firm of the Year which is one of the highest accolades for the technology market research industry.New in 2024, IDC is building upon terabytes of proprietary data, expert thought leadership, and existing digital products, IDC is creating new generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered business lines that serve its customers in fundamentally new ways. At its core, this role focuses on developing the research content and data approach underpinning IDC's digital platform as well as guiding thought leadership, methodology, and innovation in this area.ResponsibilitiesThe core responsibilities for this role include:Serving as partner and research advisor to the core Design, Product and Data Engineering team stakeholders to ensure that the research content and related data is aligned to the digital platformLeading all Research product development. This role will design the methodology, templates and quality management for research and data being housed in the platformPartner Technology Strategy. This role will serve as the primary research interface with external data partner providers (e.g. peer review sites) to ensure data interoperability and usability align with the platform direction and needsHelp to create and run a Customer Advisory Board. Cultivate initial relationships with the platform customer’s alpha/beta programs with the objective of establishing a customer advisory board with a charter and ongoing meetups.Establishing regular CIO Polls and customer surveys to help amplify thought leadership research to drive awareness, visibility and lead generation for the platform.Developing cross-training for research analysts, product engineers, customer success teams and the broader IDC community to ensure that all stakeholders are up to date on the latest research and data feeding the platform.Work closely with core IDC research strategy and planning organization to reinforce alignment on proven methodologies, content usage and delivery.  This is a highly visible, fast paced, and dynamic position that affords growth potential and plays a key leadership role for the digital platform.QualificationsBachelor’s degree required; master's degree preferred.15 years experience in market research, advisory, marketing or consulting. Experience in data processing, product training, partner and project management preferred.Knowledge of the AI tech sector is required, as well as the ability to analyze and provide actionable guidance to providers and enterprise C-Suite.Knowledge of vendor product portfolios within the software domain Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to analyze, present and articulate complex data sets, with comfort in business and technical discussions.Experience working with CIOs and other IT buyer professionalsSelf-starter, adaptable and flexible who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative high-growth environment. Strong time management and organizational skills.
