Gallery Media Group includes women's lifestyle brand PureWow and a collection of social-first media brands, such as [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted] on Instagram and TikTok that reach over 200M consumers. Additionally, GMG has an expansive experiential arm rooted in Gallery Houses-a fusion of social content, creators and cultural moments at scale-as well as a robust influencer marketing business.

The company was founded in 2010 by CEO, Ryan Harwood and is now part of VaynerX, the Gary Vaynerchuk-owned holding company.

GMG is seeking a full-time director to join our team of branded content writers and editors. This candidate will focus on the strategy and execution of revenue-driving content-concepting, writing and editing products that will resonate with specific GMG audiences while meeting advertiser goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong editorial portfolio, preferably within the fashion and beauty category, and experience in content strategy (whether editorial or branded content). Management experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will largely be split between strategy and execution.
  • Content Strategy: Work in conjunction with our Brand Strategy and Design teams to develop products (site, social, video, experiential, influencer, etc.) that align with advertiser objectives and marketing goals. These could be in response to an RFP or proactive ideas and packages.
  • Creative Execution: Write and produce on-site and social content, ensuring each piece-no matter how big or small-aligns with our internal and client standards.
  • Trend Analysis and Innovation: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices across site and social. Use these trends, tools, data and metrics to inform and guide concepts and content creation.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • 5+ years of previous experience in role focused on content strategy or editorial
  • A passion for digital advertising, with a finger on the pulse of what's trending in culture
  • Creative, resourceful and detail-oriented, with a background in tailoring content to specific KPIs, whether that's reader engagement, affiliate or revenue
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Ability to act as a key problem-solver; always bringing teams back to the "why"
  • Excellent cross-department communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to juggle multiple campaigns at once
  • Proficiency in working with content management systems and Photoshop
  • Desire to constantly be learning and an attitude that no task is too small

Location: New York (hybrid)

Base Salary

$110,000-$140,000 USD
