Lead the communication and curriculum strategy, innovation, and implementation of all Training and Operations initiatives.ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Internal Communications:Develop, write, and edit all internal communications to Support Center and the system, including The Dip, The Porch, webinars, and other communications (emails, etc.) that come from various levels of the Support Center.Create and maintain a Communication Matrix for various timelines and audience levels.Promote communications through all possible channels, including The Dip, The Porch, email, webinars, etc.Track analytics and create reports detailing the successes and failures of communication campaigns.Maintain digital media archives, including photos and videos for use in communications and content development.Ensure all communications align with the Style Guide, Brand Standards, Fonts, Imaging, and Verbiage.Work cross-functionally with key departments to gather and brainstorm content ideas to support strategy and brand initiatives.Oversee content management of Slim’s annual conference.ROAD TRIP (Recognition Programs)Create ongoing rewards and recognition programs for restaurants.Create and implement quarterly Surprise and Delight events for the Slims Brand.Create and implement a Road Trip Toolkit for operators and managers.Manage Slim’s Pin Program, updating pins yearly and driving adoption of the program system wide.Create and implement Team Member Satisfaction surveys and use data to create positive change for the brand, operators, managers, team members, and Support Center.Work cross-functionally with HR to create and implement birthday, anniversaries, and special moments programs.Be the team member champion for Slim Chickens.Be an integral part of the Fun Committee.Written Content DevelopmentOversee, design, and create all aspects of the development of training materials for team members, managers, multi-unit managers, operators, franchisees, and support center staff.Lead international training tools and resources utilized by international groups/franchisees.Responsible for maintaining and updating current training and operations manuals and tools.Write creative and energetic training materials using graphics and images.Design and develop all written training and operational materials.Assist with the creation of all new product rollouts to the system.Create engaging operational/training materials to drive sales, guest satisfaction, and more efficient operations.Support all training and operations initiatives and projects.Manage print partner to ensure all materials available are up to date and correct.Work with all outside graphic design and technical writers to create, update, and/or translate training and operations materials.Digital Content DevelopmentLead and assist in developing materials to maintain Slim’s University online LMS platform.Lead in the development of training videos, storyboards, shot sheets, and filming.Assist with photography for communications, materials, and coursework.Manage and maintain photography and video libraries for ease of access and deployment as needed.Work with the Content Team and Product Development Team to maintain, update, and create recipe videos and training videos for The Porch or any additional work streams.Work with the Content Team and Product Development Team to maintain, update, and create step-by-step recipe photography.Continuously search and innovate the use of video and photography to enhance training and communications.Slim Chickens systems principles and objectives:

Has a thorough understanding of Slim Chickens' established operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies, safety) and recognizes the responsibility to stay updated on these systems and the role this position plays in supporting them.Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives:

This position description is designed to guide the activities of the Sr. Manager of Communications and Content Development. It is not meant to restrict the individual's creativity or limit their thinking, nor does it encompass all the tasks that may be required in this role.Physical Activities:

Primarily performed in an office environment. Involves entering and retrieving information on a computer and visually verifying details, often in small print. May also require presenting information to small or large groups.Travel:

Occasionally visits to local corporate stores.Requirements and Competencies:Meticulous attention to detail.Ability to write technical materials such as Operational manuals and training presentations/workshops.Ability to write creatively outside the norm. Can write engaging, memorable content for scripts and classroom materials.Ability to think outside the box and creatively champion new ideas, technologies, and communication platforms.Demonstrates a consultative approach in working with franchisees, managers, team members, and Corporate Support Team.Video filming and editing abilities.Photography experience.Ability to multi-task and highly adaptable in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Service-oriented, Guest First.Strong interpersonal skills and a brand champion.Excellent restaurant operational knowledge.Some travel and field work, with overnights.Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:Microsoft Office Suite, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat Suite (Premiere Pro, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.), Articulate Storyline, H5P.Laptop (Mac) computer, Tablet, iPhone, Projector.Learning Management System.Minimum Education:College Courses.2+ years communication strategy and development.3+ years restaurant management a plus.5+ years (Restaurant) training and development background.Instructional and/or graphic design background.Preferred Education:
