The Associate Marketing Manager is responsible for contributing to the overall marketing efforts of the Marketing team. This role will report to the Senior Membership Marketing Manager. The Associate Marketing Manager will work cross-functionally and collaboratively with various teams at ASUG, including but not limited to Event Operations, Enterprise Content, Membership, Acquisition, Communities, Editorial, Partner Success and Research to manage and implement marketing plans and multi-channel campaigns that drive member and nonmember engagement, support the ASUG content strategy and enable our Sales and Customer Success teams with tools and resources.Must be located in the greater Chicagoland areas to support hybrid model. The hybrid work model requires 2 days in our Chicago office/ 3 days remote per week.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To succeed in this role, you must be able to think strategically while executing and managing marketing project plans to maximize participation in each member engagement campaign.Develops and executes marketing strategies and go-to-market plans to support ASUG programs that optimize member engagement.Presents marketing strategy clearly and concisely to cross-functional teams and other relevant stakeholders as needed.Develops effective marketing solutions for internal partners by ensuring their programs are well-represented and incorporates feedback when finalizing marketing plans.Produces clear, engaging copy for email, print, website, and other marketing channels that aligns with ASUG's brand voice and resonates with the intended audience; collaborates with stakeholders to ensure the copy meets marketing requirements.Collaborates with the Creative and Digital Marketing teams to maintain brand consistency in design and messaging across all engagement marketing campaigns.During planning meetings and brainstorming sessions, they contribute their perspective to help teams align with marketing goals and objectives.Establishes marketing objectives and key performance indicators, then tracks metrics to gauge the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.Works cross functionally to develop sales enablement tools to support Customer Success and Sales teams.Works closely with campaign stakeholders to develop project plans for marketing campaigns, set launch targets, schedule emails, and identify key metrics and reporting needs.Represents ASUG at industry conferences, chapter meetings and other events to gain a deeper understanding of members' needs, incorporates this knowledge into marketing campaigns, and shares insights with colleagues.Keeps up to date on the latest marketing best practices and ensures member engagement campaigns adhere to them.Builds marketing emails, creates workflows, and implements campaigns in HubSpot.Creates basic creative assets needed for marketing using Canva or other software.Utilizes the department's software and systems, such as HubSpot, Monday.com, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), OneDrive, Cvent, Craft, Teams, and any new platforms implemented by the team, to complete assigned tasks.Updates Marketing team process documentation regularly.Qualifications:

Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Computer Skills:Candidates must possess a strong foundation in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel), web-based marketing technologies as well as the ability to utilize and adapt to new technology and processes in the marketing department as needed. CRM experience such as HubSpot, and experience with virtual event platforms (such as Cvent), Canva, AI writing tools just as Jasper or Grammarly and Monday.com are a plus.Certificates and Licenses:No certificates or licenses are required but HubSpot certifications are a plus.Work Environment:When working remotely, you are required to have a workspace with internet connection and must be able to accommodate video calls.When onsite or in the office, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. All work environments are indoors. General working hours are 8 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday in Central time; accommodation can be made for other time zones.
