Are you the right candidate for this opportunity Make sure to read the full description below.Tracking Code 1053-674 Job DescriptionReporting to the executive director of marketing in the Office of University Marketing, the assistant director of enrollment marketing will collaborate with the Office of Undergraduate Admission to develop, write, implement, and manage compelling, multi-channel recruitment marketing campaigns with the goal of helping the University achieve its enrollment targets. This includes copywriting and content management for print, web, email, and social media communications targeted at prospective students and families in various levels of the enrollment funnel. This position will manage admission social media accounts and third-party platforms in collaboration with University Marketing and Undergraduate Admission, bringing creativity, strategic thinking, and new ideas to the process. The assistant director of enrollment marketing must have a strong grasp of the enrollment funnel and will work closely with the executive director of marketing and director of undergraduate admission to identify and address communication needs in a timely and efficient manner.Major Responsibilities:Write copy and stories for print and digital communications that support enrollment objectives. Assist the admission team with copywriting for emails and other communications as neededManage the undergraduate admission Instagram account and collaborate with marketing colleagues to develop recruitment-based content for university accounts, including TikTok and Instagram, as well as content targeting parents on FacebookPartner with admission to develop digital marketing content for social media and campaigns using third-party platforms (Loper, ZeeMee, Goodkind, CampusESP, Niche, CollegeBoard)Oversee regular audits of key web pages and ongoing development and maintenance of critical web content targeting prospective students, their families, and their influencersRequired Knowledge and Skills:Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communication, English, or related field2-4 years of relevant experiencePrevious higher education admission experience requiredUnderstanding of enrollment funnel and general higher education principlesUnderstanding of how to reach the target audience across multiple channels in a coordinated and effective mannerExcellent written and oral communication skills; flawless editing to support clear ideasStrong organizational, planning, and project management skillsAttention to detail and the ability to multitask and think criticallyProven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, collaborative environmentCustomer service skills and a positive, can-do approachProactiveness to provide helpful information on a regular basis, not just what is directly requestedExperience with email and digital marketingKnowledge of AP StyleProficient in the following software: Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Google SuiteSuccessful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to cultural diversity and the ability to work with individuals or groups from diverse backgrounds.All offers of employment with Valparaiso University are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background check.
