KIMT in Rochester, MN is looking for a Morning and Weekend Newscast/Technical Director to direct fast-paced, cutting-edge newscasts utilizing the Ross Overdrive automation system. Nationally ranked as one of the most secure places to live and Best Place to Live.Duties/Responsibilities:Direct newscasts on Ross Overdrive automation system.Simultaneously responsible for switcher, studio, audio, camera, & graphics systems while providing the newscast with good direction through communication & switching.Code newscasts and offer solutions & alternatives to producers when necessary.Manage studio including set materials & lighting.Oversee live broadcasts, including ticker & other alert systems.Work with Producers, Anchors, and Reporters to improve presentation & flow of the newscast.Perform other related duties as assigned, such as prompter operation, editing, & videography.Produce promotional & other creative elements as required.Requirements:Previous experience with Ross Overdrive is a plus.Ability to handle non-scripted breaking news environment is a must.Ability to climb ladders to replace set lights is necessary.Must be able and willing to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes.Must be able to communicate effectively and work independently.
