Overview:

The National Grocers Association (NGA) is the national trade association for America’s 21,500 independent community grocers. NGA members include retail and wholesale grocers located in every congressional district across the country, as well as state grocers’ associations, manufacturers, and service suppliers.

As the Manager for Marketing and Member Engagement, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth for the National Grocers Association. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns and possess excellent project management and communication skills. The Manager of Marketing & Member Engagement must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that rewards those who take the initiative and are self-starters.

Key Responsibilities:Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy:

Create and implement innovative marketing strategies to achieve organizational goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives. Project manage marketing campaigns and collateral to ensure projects are kept on time and internal stakeholders are informed of progress.Digital Marketing:

Maintain day-to-day operations for the NGA website and microsites, ensuring all content is up-to-date, timely, and relevant. Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including SEO and email marketing. Monitor and analyze the performance of digital campaigns and optimize strategies for maximum impact. Assist in developing social media messages on platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.Content Creation:

Create and send blast emails to members and other key stakeholders in a timely manner. Develop marketing and promotional pieces. Work to help craft messaging related to all aspects of the association, including membership, special programs, meetings, and events. Work closely with the NGA’s external creative firm to develop visually appealing and effective marketing collateral in a timely manner. Update and help craft content for websites for NGA and events and special programs microsites.Campaign Management:

Create and manage the implementation of a comprehensive master marketing schedule. Plan, execute, and measure the success of integrated marketing campaigns. Utilize data-driven insights to optimize campaign performance and ROI. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Manage NGA’s special recognition program, the Creative Choice Awards, including yearly promotion and onsite production logistics of the special event.Additional Responsibilities:

Assist with onsite event production at key NGA meetings including the annual government relations Fly-In, Executive Conference, and aspects of the NGA Show. Perform other functions and duties as required. Support staff in other departments when required as part of the NGA team culture.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in marketing or other related fields of study.Three to five years of experience in association marketing and or related field.Proven experience in web content management, marketing strategy, and event promotion.Strong project management and organizational skills.Ability to multitask on simultaneous projects while meeting assigned deadlines.Proficiency in analytics tools, social media platforms, and e-marketing.Team player with proven ability to collaborate with staff on projects.Graphic design and video skills and experience are a plus.
