This company is looking for an innovative Director of Marketing and Relations.

This role is pivotal in driving the organization’s marketing strategies and community engagement efforts, ensuring its mission is supported and its presence in the community is strengthened. The Director will lead marketing campaigns, manage public relations, and coordinate community programs.

Focus:

Assess departmental performance relative to goals and implement necessary improvements.

Create and manage the department's budget, ensuring expenditures align with allocated funds.

Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Contribute to the Senior Management Team with strategic insights and guidance on marketing and community outreach initiatives.

Undertake additional duties as assigned by the hospital president.

Develop and implement the organization’s annual marketing strategy.

Create promotional materials, including brochures, newsletters, and advertisements.

Ensure consistent messaging across all communications.

Support the creation and execution of business and marketing plans.

Serve as the hospital’s media liaison, handling press inquiries and managing PR and marketing agency relationships.

Evaluate media requests and manage information releases, adhering to ethical standards.

Write and edit press releases and articles to maintain high editorial quality.

Keep the President & CEO informed about new healthcare legislation.

Oversee speaking engagements and awards programs for staff.

Organize special events, engaging speakers and addressing community groups on health topics.

Plan and manage community programs to build strong relationships between the hospital and the local community.

Engage with civic, business, and service organizations to promote the hospital’s mission.

Coordinate volunteer activities and community service initiatives.

Skill Set:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Organizational Planning, or a related field, or five years of relevant experience in the healthcare sector.

At least two years of experience in marketing and public relations management.

Preferred: Five or more years in healthcare administration with a focus on marketing and public relations.

Proven administrative and organizational skills.

Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written.

Proficient in computer use and relevant software.

Attention to detail.

Experience in budget management and financial planning is preferred.
