Under the direction of the Design Manager, the Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for creating and managing creative and compelling visual communication projects within a team environment. The ideal candidate has the capability to create unique visual ideas, has well-developed critical thinking skills, can problem solve on the fly and is capable of project managing their own work.

WHAT YOU’LL DODesign - Branding (Print & Production) (60%)

Project requests will consist of logos, posters, brochures and signage to support both same store and new store.Responsible for accurate production, printing, and quality control of individual pieces.Responsible for design development of select employee programs/campaigns.Responsible for concept, design and production coordination of Investor Relations materials.Owns the development of brand assets for all community rebrands (Acquisitions).Ability to make precise updates to floorplan and sitemap drawings and own the request process.Design - Digital (20%)

Create designs for digital implementation via social media and online advertising.Use simple HTML to make marketing updates to EquityApartments.com.Create custom emails using templates.Provides media production support including photo retouching and manipulation.Design Strategy & Team Support (20%)

Act as a coach/mentor to junior team members regarding design quality and production.Incorporate changes recommended by the clients or Design Manager into the final design.Liaise between stakeholders, marketing team and vendors to ensure project success.Own project communication from start to finish using ClickUp and email to communicate updates.Manage third-party design partnerships as needed (Agency or Freelance and Vendors).Keys to Success

Five (5+) years of progressive design experience is required, with a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design.Strong aesthetic skills with a portfolio that demonstrates advanced knowledge of design principles including typography, composition, color, imagery, etc.Experience managing design projects with freelance designers or agencies preferred.Display an understanding of business needs and carry out informed designs that stay on budget, on brand and align functionally with stakeholder needs.Basic knowledge of HTML.Detail-oriented with a critical eye for proofreading and color accuracy.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly express creative ideas and concepts.Ability to function in high-pressure, deadline-sensitive environments.Ability to use software applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Lightroom, PremierPro), Google Suite and Microsoft Office.Thorough understanding of pre and final file preparation.Represent the Company in a professional manner, consistently maintaining a professional courteous attitude when dealing with co-workers, residents and the public.
