Our office supply client is looking for an

Art Director

to work in their in-house creative agency.

Are you ready to apply Make sure you understand all the responsibilities and tasks associated with this role before proceeding.*Must be able to be on-site 2-3 days per week in Lincolnshire, IL*The Art Director must possess a sophisticated aesthetic sense that works across multiple digital and print media, a dedication to innovation, and a love for the convergence of design and technology. The ideal candidate is smart, extremely detailed, and collaborates well with various creative team members, as well as other agency disciplines to oversee design projects from start to finish. They will have a portfolio of work that combines strong concepts and executions across a wide range of media. This role will require a self-starter who can take the reins, understand the growing brand, and help shepherd and push the creative.You will be able to take on independent direction while giving guidance on design and copy across many types of platforms and media. Working on complex asks, you’ll use your deep understanding of our business to collaborate with the entire project team – creatives, account services, and business partners. You’ll also personally create work that strengthens our brand and helps develop relationships with customers.You will direct and/or produce a whole range of collateral and communications such as company-wide branding campaigns with a focus on digital media, email, video, and web. You’ll be counted on to recognize opportunities to innovate and recommend new tools and content, always helping push us forward.Must possess the ability to shift gears at a moment’s notice between mentoring, executing work, and attending meetings. Initiative, ownership, and professionalism go a long way here, followed closely by humor and caring.Primary duties and responsibilities:Build an understanding of the Quill brand and lead the delivery of the brand standards through a variety of creative deliverables.Collaborate with internal partners to gain insights that drive successful creative.Guide creative concepts, including providing direction on copy and design, from development through to final approval.Support team at creative reviews with Agency leadership and business partners.Constantly look for ways to be more efficient across your team and the Agency.Work alongside other managers to ensure great creative and a collaborative culture.Develop and maintain high standards for creative excellence and work with the creative team on keeping that standard.Understand marketing, digital, and media industry trends/developments and use this knowledge to leverage ideas.Creative Development and Execution:Minimum of 10+ years working in design:

As an agency designer, Art Director, and/or Design Director for in-house or agency.Along with a creative partner, design/write and execute work that communicates our brand in an engaging, persuasive way.Present and sell work to Agency leadership and business partners.Requirements, Skills, Experience & Education Requirements:Successful ability to build relationships and forge alliances that drive exceptional creative results.Typography and Motion design a plus.Proven ability to work with different agencies and departments.Bachelor’s degree in marketing/advertising, graphic design, creative production, or similar field.Ability to communicate concepts and ideas to others through written, illustrated, and verbal means, particularly design staff across disciplines and projects.Must have industry-specific knowledge: familiarity with agency terminology, processes, and emerging/relevant technology and social/media channels.Client Description Aquent Talent connects the best talent in marketing, creative, and design with the world’s biggest brands.Our talent gets access to amazing benefits like subsidized health, vision, and dental plans, paid sick leave, and retirement plans with a match. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
