The

Director, Content Marketing

creates and executes the strategy for content creation in all forms at Zelis. This leader is an experienced critical thinker with an ability to quickly

synthesize information and propose a solution . They're a dynamic leader that can

guide a team of content creators on the development and distribution of assets that drive market engagement and generate awareness .The Director is also responsible for protecting and managing the brand's written style, ensuring consistency across any asset that is created. They closely collaborate with Product and Segment Marketing, Marketing Leadership, and various subject matter experts across Zelis to develop content strategies that can be translated into actionable plans.

They implement and refine processes to help Zelis produce market-leading content at scale.

In addition to overseeing the creation of content internally, the Director builds and manages a network of third-party content creators that produce assets as requested. In coordination with Performance Marketing, they measure the results of the program and optimize future content plans based on data-driven insights.Location and Workplace Flexibility:

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.ResponsibilitiesDefine the purpose for content creation at Zelis today and in the future by collaborating closely with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to understand the needs of the market and recommend content that addresses those needsTranslate complex technology and healthcare concepts into compelling and thought-provoking content and lead annual content audits and assessments, developing strategic recommendations that can be implemented to improve performanceServe as the trusted source and strategic partner in all things related to copywriting and content development as well as establish standards that enable the creation of content at scale that aligns with brand guidelinesLead and manage a team of content writers, providing guidance, feedback, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful execution of projectsCommunicate effectively and often, ensuring that projects are delegated effectively to writers or external contractors and/or vendors to ensure the successful production and delivery of materialsHelp the Content team simultaneously manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and collaborate across Marketing to ensure Content is an integrated component of go-to-market programs and campaignsUtilize SEO writing best practices and AI in the creation of content and have a creative vision for ways that stories can be told beyond the written wordManage research-informed content that is intended to elevate Zelis' awareness in the market and drive engagement among payers, providers, and/or membersQualifications10+ years of experience as a writer and content creator with a proven track record of producing high-performing and engaging media in any format (written or digital)Deep understanding of how to build highly effective content strategies that align to audience personas and the needs of the business and Marketing, and how to report on content's performance3+ years of experience as a people leaderExperience with SEO and AI tools (e.g. ahrefs or SEMrush, Writer)Have a passion for telling stories in all formats with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts in creative and engaging waysCollaborative style in a fast-paced environment, highly adaptable and able to work and lead a team with agility under pressurePreferred QualificationsHealthcare and/or technology industry experienceBachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or CommunicationsAs a leading payments company in healthcare, we guide, price, explain, and pay for care on behalf of insurers and their members.
