Ensure you read the information regarding this opportunity thoroughly before making an application.Noticias Telemundo Network is looking for a dynamic Lead Graphics Manager to join our Miami, FL headquarters. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our News Graphics Design team, overseeing all aspects of broadcast production graphics for live news shows, Breaking News, special projects, and digital news content. Your primary focus will be leading and developing the graphic design team and managing the daily workload, especially for Breaking News.

This role requires working flexible hours, including late nights, and being able to accommodate last-minute scheduling changes in our 24/7 production environment. It's important to have a strong understanding of live news graphics workflows, digital news content, and the news environment. Collaborating with the Creative Design Director and heads of the Network News department is crucial for cohesive alignment. This is an opportunity to have a real impact on our award-winning team.

Responsibilities:

Manage daily production and assignments in collaboration with the Creative Design Director and Graphics Producer.

Design concepts, projects, and workflows across daily live shows and projects.

Be quick to problem-solve providing creative solutions.

Have excellent time-management skills.

Participate in design meetings and provide continual input to optimize design and efficient workflows.

Take projects from idea to concept, from production to launch, ensuring excellence, alignment, and quality of design thinking throughout.

Communicate concepts easily to all stakeholders across departments.

Effective communication of project statuses with Creative Design Director, Managers, Producers and News leadership.

Ensure projects and finished graphics are accurate and precise.

Lead with effective supervision an experienced design team toward greater creativity.

Assist with the team’s schedules, PTO and Timekeeper approvals.

Participate in departmental strategic planning.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Degree in graphic design, motion graphics, marketing, or related field.

Minimum 10+ years working in the News broadcast/ digital graphics industry.

Experience in producing graphic content for broadcast and digital platforms.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong knowledge of layout, color theory, composition, typography, layout, and animation in relation to GFX.

Develop designs in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.

Strong work ethic and ability to work on several projects simultaneously.

Expert level user of Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Creative Suite, Adobe XD, and 3D Software (Cinema 4D) Redshift.

Able to work in high-pressure production environments.

Willingness to work flexible hours including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment.

Requires accessibility to working onsite.

Must be 18 years or older.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

Role reports to Creative Design Director.
