We’re a rapidly growing nonprofit that’s looking for an experienced marketing leader who is eager to use your PR, copywriting, branding, and creative marketing superpowers for good – promoting conservation programs that tackle climate change and water scarcity. After years of double-digit growth, our programs are proving to be national models of conservation. We’re making waterwise yards the new norm in Colorado and empowering a new generation of climate superheroes. But we’ve been so focused on developing impactful conservation programs that we haven’t had time to toot our own horn. We’re ready to grow the team and take our marketing to the next level. We need a savvy strategist and storyteller to weave the fabric of our programs and participants together into a compelling narrative that spurs participation and conservation action across Colorado and beyond. The Marketing Director has a proven track record of building great brands, generating media coverage, motivating staff, and inspiring change.This is a full-time (or part-time for the right candidate), hybrid remote role with great flexibility with about two days a week in our Boulder, Colorado office. as a conservation leader; ensure website, social media, templates, etc, support branding strategy.Work collaboratively across program areas

to promote consistent branding, enhance partner marketing toolkits, cross-promote programs, & develop marketing strategies when expanding to new geographies.Build widespread media visibility

for Resource Central to increase program participation.Write core messaging

for key staff to help prepare for media interviews or major presentations.Develop strategic marketing plan and budgets

and consistently manage to them.Supervise, coach, and develop

marketing staff.Be an active participant in Resource Central’s senior leadership team

and positively contribute to the organization’s culture, strategy, and success. Plus, other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Requirements:Exceptional marketing writing; if this is not a strength then this is not the right role for you.Minimum of 7 years of marketing leadership, branding, PR, and copywriting experience with a proven track record of successfully implementing marketing campaigns.Demonstrated experience working effectively with Boards of Directors or executive leadership teams.Proficient in Adobe InDesign or Canva; not looking for a graphic designer but someone who thinks strategically, has an eye for design, and can roll up his or her sleeves as needed.Creative marketing agency experience a plus.Must be a collaborative, team player who is passionate about environmental sustainability.A resume and cover letter are required to be considered for hire.Resource Central is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals based on job-related qualifications and ability to perform a job, without regard to age, gender, sexual orientation, race, color, religion, national origin, disability, marital status, military status, gender expression, genetic information or any other classification protected by applicable state or local law.
