About the Role The

Product Designer

will sit on the Customer & Technology Team and play a key role in bringing our product vision to life. You will lead the design process that begins well before any wireframes or prototypes are created. You know the right questions to ask, data to request, and people to collaborate with to create engaging data-driven experiences that balance the needs of our customers/members/users and business. You are a master at your craft with a strong eye for detail and use your collaboration and design thinking skills to build strong partnerships with various stakeholders to design the right solution.

Craft industry-leading web experiences that solve customer and business problems using user-centered design principles.Independently lead and manage design projects from conception to implementation, ensuring high-quality design execution that aligns with ButcherBox visual and brand identity.Collaborate with product squads (product managers, developers, researchers, and other stakeholders) to design thoughtful solutions that deliver on brand goals, business goals, and are technically feasible to implement.Create design artifacts at varying levels of fidelity, ranging from wireframes to dev-ready mockups to prototypes, within the framework of existing design system to ensure UI consistency.Effectively communicate design concepts, rationale, and decisions to stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding of the design vision.Contribute insights and ideas to the squad-level strategy, aligning design initiatives with overall product objectives and user needs.Conduct user testing of designs and prototypes and synthesize learnings and user feedback to inform design decisions.Requirements

3+ years of UX/Product Design experience, preferably with some previous experience working on an ecommerce product.A strong portfolio, online or PDF, that demonstrates high-quality design work, showcasing your strong understanding of the end-to-end product design process, depth of your design skills, and impact of your solutions on user experience and business.Exceptional communication skills and ability to present designs and articulate ideas to all levels of the organization.Openness to evolution of opinions and challenge of beliefs; ability to gracefully accept constructive feedback and use it to make designs and processes better.Expertise in modern design, prototyping, and testing tools (we work in Figma) and working with design systems.Ability to zoom in on a specific area of the product while maintaining the zoomed-out view of the holistic experience.Excellent prioritization and time-management skills; ability to work with multiple squads and set realistic expectations and timelines for competing priorities.Prior experience working with product and engineering in an Agile environment.Empathy, curiosity, and an understanding of what it means to be truly customer-centric.
