Who we are looking for

You will provide design expertise and mentorship in the creation of print, web, digital-storytelling, advertising and collateral materials. The Principal Graphic Designer leads design workstreams through extensive skills in creative 2D design and brand development, using critical thinking to translate strategic concepts into meaningful experiences. This role has the opportunity to participate in all aspects of brand development and design – research, planning, logo and visual/verbal identity development, product or brand naming, event design, and packaging design across multiple user touchpoints. The Principal Designer will work closely with Designers with less experience, acting as a mentor focusing on core design skills and functional process development. You will contribute to client relationships and support project leads drafting statements of work. Principal Designers are also responsible for leading workstream resources and results related to their field of expertise. The role will also support the hiring of qualified personnel by reviewing work, interviewing and industry engagement.

What you bring to the team

Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in a graphic related field, or previous experience8 years minimum professional experience in corporate or consulting design environmentPossess an expert skill level in design tools and practices, including but not limited to the following:Lead presentations, collaboration, skill building and critiqueExpert in Adobe Creative SuiteCorporate brand identities, illustrations, and websitesPhoto and video art directionCreative brand message writing skills is a plusSupport the creation of interactive Figma web design wireframes, layout, and executionExcellent writing and verbal communication skillsFamiliar with trends, technologies and methodologies for graphic design and productionExperience with photography or videography a plusGraphic design and branding experience for B2B and B2C
