The Senior Internal Communications Specialist will play a key role in developing content for various internal channels and contributing to programs that keep our global employees informed, inspired, and connected to our business, brand, culture, and one another. As part of the Internal Communications team, this individual will be responsible for storytelling in traditional and non-traditional mediums and connecting the dots between the state of our business and strategic priorities, major marketing and brand moments, and key functional initiatives and updates that drive awareness and engagement among our employees at Seattle HQ, North America, and beyond. In addition, this individual must possess excellent interpersonal, writing, and editing skills; excel at building cross-functional relationships with stakeholders; and translate complex information into meaningful messages for our employees across varied formats and mediums.

The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.Roles and Responsibilities:Draft and edit content for various internal communications channels so employees are informed and connected to our business, brand, and team.Utilize strong writing and editing skills to ensure employee-facing communication adheres to a consistent voice and tone in keeping with our culture. Geek out on things like AP Style and find opportunities to align messaging that reinforces Brooks’ values.Update editorial calendars and support content planning for Brooks’ company intranet and e-newsletter, ensuring information is timely and relevant for various employee audiences.Support ongoing site maintenance and drive employee adoption of InsideTrack. This includes ensuring department sites are up to date with stakeholders, developing new department sites as needed, and supporting future intranet projects from a tactical level.Contribute to projects, internal events, and cultural moments (e.g., Brookslandia and Town Halls) owned or highly influenced by the Office of the CEO, including idea generation, execution, measurement, and recapping.Support and execute communications needs for the 13.1 and 26.2 Company Meetings, including content development, script writing, transcribing video content, and other communication as needed.Partner with the Manager, Internal Communications to develop and implement internal communications plans for key initiatives led by functional teams (e.g., Marketing, HR, IT, Finance).Build cross-functional relationships with stakeholders across the organization to better understand employee interests and internal communication opportunities/needs in support of Brooks’ strategic priorities and initiatives.Collaborate and influence regional internal communications partners on best practices globally for internal communications while honoring regional/local nuances.Engage and partner with the Global Creative team to develop briefs or work orders in support of assets needed for major communication campaigns or internal initiatives.Oversee Seattle HQ digital signage channel, from content planning and development to execution.Report on and analyze metrics for key internal comms channels; leverage data to measure communication effectiveness and influence future communications planning.Keep track of multiple projects; manage your time effectively and prioritize work accordingly.Support and contribute to a culture of inclusion, appreciation, and recognition for employee work and behaviors that exemplify and reinforce brand values.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Journalism.Minimum of 3 years of communications experience with a focus on internal communications within an organization or at an agency strongly preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent collaborator, ability to be nimble, flexible, and adaptable to the changing needs of the business.Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company, including working with all levels of employees and senior leaders.Creative thinker who can bring a vision to life through both traditional and non-traditional communications.Able to work both independently within a team environment, and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve necessary results.Possess a thoughtful approach to problem solving with the ability to anticipate potential issues.Extremely detail-oriented and ability to meet multiple competing deadlines while effectively balancing workload.Ability to work under pressure and execute projects within tight timelines.Demonstrates initiative – always looking to improve processes while also displaying a willingness to dive in and help wherever necessary.Strong command of content publishing processes via SharePoint.Proficiency with the MS Teams and Office suite, including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily.A passion for running and an active lifestyle.Embraces and consistently personifies Brooks’ values!Compensation:

The pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks Seattle HQ, is $68,634 - $103,003 per year. Base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Other:
