Marketing Specialist

is accountable for assisting the organization in the development, maintenance, and implementation of various marketing initiatives. Frequent on-site visits to District theatres located throughout Northern California, and a few in Idaho, for on-site observation and support of marketing efforts may be required.The

Marketing Specialist

will primarily assist in key aspects of implementing the marketing and public relations strategies for each location. Will also be responsible for working with the Directors to implement electronic & online marketing initiatives including: the website, social media and e-mail marketing campaigns to generate awareness among the target audiences and increase ticket sales.Responsibilities include:Assist in ordering, localizing, and managing collateral materials (posters, fliers, window cards, 3 sheets, heralds).Assist with event media coverage, including advance interviews and in-town press.Support Directors as needed with assembling advertising settlements and providing to those settling the shows.Ensure Theatre display signage is current.Help coordinate street team/grassroots marketing efforts.Represent the Marketing Department at shows by assisting with media, sponsorship implementation, meet & greets, in-venue promotions, etc.Social MediaDesign and create original marketing content.Contribute to, execute, and maintain the Theatres’ social media strategy across multiple platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Yelp, and YouTube.Manage Social Media content calendar.Coordinate team contributions to the social media calendar.Monitor and report monthly on the performance of social media initiatives and recommend improvements based on the results.Daily online monitoring of multiple locations.E-mail MarketingManage e-newsletter campaign schedule and database.Write and layout content in email templates and deploy to subscriber databases.Report monthly on e-news analytics and recommend improvements based on the results.WebsiteUpdate & maintain website content including general content, event calendars, photo albums, and ads.Monitor and report monthly on website analytics.Customer Service/ReceptionAssist in answering phones and addressing customer needs.Manage non-profit donations.QualificationsMust be an experienced and avid social media/internet community user. Strong digital marketing skills in all aspects.Candidates must be proficient in all Microsoft applications and email marketing design/execution. Website Content Management System & Constant Contact experience a plus.Adobe Photoshop experience is a plus.Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, creative writing, and oral communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail.Proven project management with the ability to multitask.Proven track record of meeting deadlines and deliverables.Must have creative energy and ability to generate ideas.Must be available to work events on nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed.A self-starter, who can work independently, be a supportive team member, and work at a fast pace.Work Authorization/Security ClearanceIn compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.EEO StatementNo employee or applicant for employment will be discriminated against because of race, color, gender, age, religious preference, handicap, national origin, sexual orientation or marital status.
