Job Duties include:

Strategic Communication Planning:

Lead the development and execution of integrated communication plans that support programmatic and fundraising goals.

Coordinate with program and development teams to ensure messaging consistency and alignment with organizational objectives.

Monitor and analyze communication efforts to measure effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed.

Campaign Material Creation and Review:

Oversee the creation, production, and review of all marketing and campaign materials, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and messaging priorities.

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to produce high-quality materials that resonate with target audiences and achieve campaign objectives.

PR and Community Outreach:

Manage relationships with media contacts, public relations firms, and influencers to enhance the organization’s visibility and reputation.

Cultivate outreach contacts with political and community leaders to support advocacy efforts and community engagement initiatives.

Brand and Identity Initiatives:

Partner with the CDO to drive brand development and identity initiatives that strengthen brand recognition and support fundraising efforts.

Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels and materials, including digital platforms, print materials, and events.

Team Management:

Provides leadership and guidance on marketing strategies, media relations, and campaign execution.

Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity, professional growth, and teamwork.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

Proven experience in nonprofit marketing or communications leadership roles, with a track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies.

Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and techniques, including social media, email marketing, and website management.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and stories for diverse audiences.

Strategic thinker with analytical skills to assess campaign performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

Experience managing PR relationships, media campaigns, and community outreach initiatives.

Demonstrated leadership and management abilities, including experience leading a team and collaborating across departments.

Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Ability to commute/relocate:

This position requires BETWEEN 25-50% travel to meet with stakeholders across our five-county service area.
