Job Title: UX Designer
Ensure you read the information regarding this opportunity thoroughly before making an application.Location: Baltimore, MD(Hybrid JobDuration: 12 months contractCandidate must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week.Summary:As a UX Designer you will be responsible for conducting user research, translating user pain points and needs into usable and accessible user interfaces on a low-code/no-code platform. Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand user goals and pain points, creating wireframes and prototypes of design solutions, communicating design decisions to stakeholders, and ensuring users find the applications usable and accessible. Experience in and a strong understanding of user experience principles are essential for success in this role. Additionally, you will contribute to the success of the application to enhance overall user satisfaction and meeting strict accessibility standards.Required SkillsBachelors degree in design, human-centered design, or a related field5 years proven experience as a UX designer, user researcher, or equivalent roleStrong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects and a deep understanding of design principles and methodologiesProficiency with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative SuiteExcellent communication and collaboration skillsExperience with user research methods and usability testingAbility to think strategically and translate business goals into effective design solutions that meet user needsFamiliarity with low-code/no-code development platformsUnderstanding of accessible design and Section 508, WCAG guidelines and accessibility tools like ANDI and JAWSExperience and understanding of federal government projects a plus
