Senior UI/UX Designer

reporting to our Director, Product.

The location for this role is hybrid to Hamilton, NJ.The Senior UI/UX Designer will turn AppExchange product ideas into actionable prototypes for our R&D team to build. The Senior UI/UX Designer will deliver interface mockups and prototypes, working with our Product Managers to incorporate those into specification documents for existing and new products. In addition, the Senior UI/UX Designer will be responsible for user testing and research, bringing the “voice of the customer” into our product lifecycle.Areas of Responsibility:

Enhance our product vision by researching, conceiving, storyboarding, sketching, wireframing, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for our existing and new AppExchange products.Understand and challenge product specifications by embracing user psychology, user stories, key usage scenarios, and product adoption journeys.Define, develop, and explain user personas and usage scenarios through usability testing, research, and consulting with clients to understand their goals and to gather feedback for new ideas and product refinements.Find ways to solve user experience problems and then implement elegant design solutions.Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to the Salesforce platform's functions and features.Communicate design ideas and prototypes to Product Managers and Research & Development team.Occasionally assist Product Managers and Marketing team with content development.Success Criteria/Requirements:

Five or more years experience as a UI Designer, UX Designer, or similar role.Experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and an understanding of mobile and responsive design.A solid grasp of “Design Thinking” approach and “Jobs to be Done” methodology.Expertise in standard UX software such as Adobe XD or similar software is essential.Skills with Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator as appropriate to Interaction and Interface Design.Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus, with a willingness to develop these skills.Ability to quickly adapt to user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, usability, and accessibility concerns.Ability to work effectively in a team setting, including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design solutions for existing and new products.Passion for all things UI/UX and other areas of design and innovation. Continued research and willingness to share knowledge of the latest trends and technologies.Strong Portfolio of UI/UX design Examples.Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Engineering, Psychology, or another related field of study.Preference will be given to candidates with experience designing solutions for the Salesforce platform (Lightning Design System) and/or customer service software.Additional responsibilities as assigned.At Vicasso, we believe that learning should be immersive, that empathy should be honored, awareness should be nurtured, and success should be celebrated.
